英文里86不仅仅是个数字，而且还是个俚语，意思是“把某人赶走；拒绝提供服务；干掉”。（比如餐厅说“86 the soup”就是“这道汤没了/不卖了”）。

关于它的来历，有如下几种说法：

1️. 在20世纪中期的美国餐饮业里，86被用作厨房暗号，表示某样菜卖完了或不要再上了。比如：86 the steak = 牛排卖完了 / 别再做了。后来这个用法扩展到人：He got 86’d from the bar ，表示“他被酒吧赶出去了”

2. 纽约有家名叫Chumley’s的地下酒吧，地址在86 Bedford Street。遇到警察来查，就从后门溜走。所以86就变成了“赶紧消失；把人清走”的意思。

3. 有人考证，86”可能和“nix”（取消、弄掉、干掉）押韵，因此，当表达“to nix something”的时候，就用86来代替。

4. 也有人说，86是指纽约市服务业的一项管理条例，其中第86条规定了某些情况下，酒吧可以拒绝为某些人服务的情形。

上述说法，不管谁更真实，总之，86的意思就是refuse, reject, get rid of, kill。知道了这个梗，我们来看下面一段新闻：说的是前FBI的头科米，在被特朗普解雇之后，有一天在社交媒体上，突然发了一条推，只有四个字，即8647。上面我们刚刚普及了86这个俚语的来历，现在说说47。其实，47正好是现任总统特朗普的任期数，他是第47任美国总统。因此，科米想表达的含义应该很清楚了，也就是“搞掉；拒绝特朗普”。

The sooner this case is tossed and this sorry episode forgotten, the better.
