▌the apple of one's eye
含义是掌上明珠、心头挚爱、最珍视的人/物。
“apple”除了苹果，还可以指瞳孔、眼珠。瞳孔是眼睛里珍贵、脆弱、必不可少的部分，故用来比喻自己最宝贝、舍不得伤害的人或偏爱之物。
His little daughter is the apple of his eye.
小女儿是他的掌上明珠。
▌a bad apple
含义为害群之马、败坏集体的坏人。一颗烂苹果放筐里，会快速传染、腐烂旁边所有好苹果。

在哪儿都有害群之马。
▌apple-pie order
含义是整整齐齐、井然有序。早期做苹果派时，会把果片、面皮排列得极度整齐对称，久而久之apple-pie order就用来形容一切整洁有序的事物。

▌go bananas

▌top banana

▌cherry pick

▌plum job
指美差、肥差、轻松高薪的好工作。李子果肉甜美饱满，象征优质、诱人的好处。
