A suspect was killed after opening fire on a Secret Service checkpoint outside the White House Saturday evening, a Secret Service spokesperson told CBS News in a statement. Secret Service officers returned fire, hitting the suspect, who was taken to a hospital, where he died. A bystander was also wounded during the incident.
另据@CCTV国际时讯 消息，执法人员透露，事发时，一名“情绪不稳定的嫌疑人”接近位于白宫附近第17街与宾夕法尼亚大道交界处的检查站，在被劝离无果后开始向执法人员开枪。
The shooting occurred outside the White House at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW near the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Approximately 15 to 30 gunshots were fired, law enforcement sources told CBS News.
