2023 年，「鹅腿阿姨」陈秀凤因在北大、人大、清华等高校周边卖「烤鹅腿」出圈，多所名校的学生排队、抢购，200 多只「鹅腿」二十多分钟就被抢光。

陈秀凤的生意版图迅速扩张到朝阳，然而朝阳群众发现她实际上把鹅腿当鸭腿卖，欺骗顾客的做法引起了众怒。此前高校学子发现，鹅腿呈现了绿色，鹅腿阿姨谎称是「果蔬汁，放心吃」。

事情曝光后，她说自己只买了一个月鹅腿，后来都是鸭腿。而且她在被《中国新闻周刊》采访时说：卖鸭腿，叫「鸭腿阿姨」，我感觉不好听，我说还是叫「鹅腿阿姨」。此外，她还说自己「不是故意欺骗」。既然不是故意，被学生们请到北大讲堂讲述自己创业经验时，她怎么不说明呢？

所谓的「老实」只是表象，内里是漠视他人生命健康的无耻。

down-to-earth 是一个形容词，字面意思是「贴近地面」，实际用来形容一个人 practical and direct in a sensible honest way「务实的，脚踏实地的」。通俗来说就是「接地气」。它既可以形容人随和、不摆架子，也可指想法、建议很务实，可执行。

Their ideas seem to be far more down to earth and sensible.

他们的想法貌似更务实也更合理。

4️⃣ strike a nerve

nerve 是「神经」，所以 strike a nerve 字面意思是「碰到了一根神经」，实际意思是触动了某人的痛处或情绪。它可以是负面的，比如别人说的一句话让你感到不舒服；也可以是中性、正面的，用来描述某个观点、某件事引发了很多人的共鸣。此时，它跟我们前面学过的 strike a chord 相近。

因此我们可以将其译为「触及要害，触动了敏感神经」或「引发共鸣」。这里的 strike 也可换成 touch，《经济学人》用了后者。
