China's first domestically developed business jet entered commercial service on Monday, with a charter flight operated by Deer Jet from Shanghai to Beijing, according to Yicai.

The aircraft is the CBJ (COMAC Business Jet), a business aviation variant of the COMAC C909 regional jet developed by COMAC⁠. Deer Jet, a business aviation operator affiliated with HNA Group, became the aircraft's first operator.

The CBJ can be configured with between 12 and 29 seats. COMAC has also outlined plans for additional C909 variants, including cargo, medical, emergency command and business aviation models.
