1. turn on / turn off —— 开与关

  • Could you turn on the light? It’s getting dark.
    （你能把灯打开吗？天快黑了。）
  • Don’t forget to turn off the gas after cooking.
    （做完饭别忘了关煤气。）

2. turn up / turn down —— 调高/调低（音量、温度等）

  • Turn up the radio – I love this song.

  • Please turn down the TV; the baby is sleeping.
    （请把电视调小声点，宝宝在睡觉。）

小进阶：turn down 还可以表示“拒绝”。
