2026 Shoto New Talent Program Reaches a Key Milestone

Recently, Shoto successfully completed the interim session of its 2026 New Talent Development Program. Over five days, new hires have participated in immersive training covering corporate culture, industry knowledge, critical thinking, military-style drills, mentorship matching, and executive roundtables, marking their transition from students to Shoto professionals.

Opening Day: Leadership Messages and Factory Tours

Chairman & President Dr. Yang Rui and Executive President Dr. Yang Baofeng attended the opening ceremony and shared their expectations with the new cohort.

Chairman Yang summarized his message for the youth in three core takeaways:"The future belongs to those who never stop growing. The industry is evolving. Shoto is evolving. And every one of you must evolve with it. Joining Shoto is not the finish line, but the beginning of your journey."His remarks highlighted both Shoto's growth opportunities and the mindset expected of every new employee.

Following the ceremony, participants toured Shoto's lithium battery production lines, lead-acid manufacturing workshops, and energy storage integration facilities, gaining first-hand insight into the company's manufacturing capabilities.

A Well-Rounded Program Combining Learning and Practice

The program was structured around five stages: Orientation, Corporate Culture, Product Knowledge, General Competencies & Teamwork, and Career Launch.

One highlight was a bilingual debate on whether team success depends on individuals adapting to the team's pace or on respecting individual working styles to maximize overall efficiency. Conducted in both English and Chinese, the debate encouraged participants to strengthen their critical thinking while reflecting on the balance between individual contribution and teamwork.

Military-style training also formed an essential part of the program. Through disciplined drills, participants strengthened execution, resilience, and teamwork while building trust through shared challenges.

During the "Grow & Launch" roundtable, senior executives and mentors met face-to-face with new hires to discuss career development, role expectations, and personal growth. By sharing insights into Shoto's business strategy and talent development framework, leaders provided practical guidance across sales, R&D, and manufacturing, helping ease the transition into the workplace.

Next Step: Learning Through Practice

On July 11, participants completed a 10-kilometer hike around Qintong Lake in Jiangyan, encouraging one another throughout the journey and further strengthening team cohesion and perseverance.

According to Shoto's talent development plan, all new hires will next complete nearly one month of on-site rotations at production facilities in Taizhou and Hubei, where they will gain hands-on manufacturing experience and apply what they learned during training.

Through classroom learning, factory visits, military drills, outdoor challenges, and leadership engagement, the program equips new employees with industry knowledge, practical skills, and professional resilience.

As they begin the next stage of their careers, this new generation of Shoto talent will continue to grow through hands-on experience while contributing to the company's mission of advancing the global energy storage industry.
