WAS艺术中心于2026年7月11日将推出艺术家张戈宁波地区个展「Less is Namito奈美兔」。展览将以艺术IP“奈美兔”（Namito）创始人张戈长期秉持的“"对心灵做减法"的核心创作理念为轴，以“奈美兔”为主角，为深陷焦虑的当代人提供情绪慰藉，开启一场向内和解、回归自我的治愈之旅。

毕业于清华大学美术学院的艺术家张戈，是中国当代具有代表性的跨界艺术家之一。她不仅深受艺术界认可，更成为都市年轻群体的文化偶像。艺术家张戈的作品始终秉持以"对心灵做减法"为核心理念，张戈的作品很全然的让形象本身成为情感的容器，当外在的堆砌被剥离时，内在的力量才会真正显现。奈美兔之所以能触动人心，恰恰是因为她足够简单、足够真诚——她是一个“孩子”，在哲学家尼采所说的“精神三变”中，“孩子”位于“骆驼”与“狮子”之上，是最自由、最真实的存在。骆驼背负着社会价值的重担，狮子试图反抗并夺取权力，而孩子只是纯粹地活着，遵从自己的意愿，用自己的标准衡量世界。奈美兔，就是这个“孩子”。她闭着眼睛，不是逃避世界，而是拒绝被世界的喧嚣干扰；她双手插兜，不是傲慢，而是拥有不取悦任何人的底气。

时代给了我们更多的选择，当然也伴随着更多的嘈杂。我们在追逐“更多”的过程中，渐渐丢失了那个最真实的自己。张戈敏锐地捕捉到了当代人的这一精神困境，她用艺术的回应方式，创造出一个名叫“奈美兔”的小女孩，用她最纯粹的存在，告诉每一个人：你可以不必那么累，适当给心灵做减法，可以回归本性。你可以说yes，也可以说no。

在张戈构建的奈美兔宇宙中，我们感受到的是一种温柔的治愈力。它不煽情，不说教，只是在纷扰之中开辟出一小片安静的空间，邀请你停下来，深呼吸，把那些不必要的焦虑、比较、讨好、内耗，一件件放下。与此同时，我们在展厅一隅，呈现张戈笔下的另一个IP形象——太平羊Sofia，也以它“羊毛出在羊身上”的松弛哲学轻轻呼应着：生活不必太用力，定期释放自己，才能温暖他人。太平羊与奈美兔，一个负责治愈，一个负责勇敢，如同一枚硬币的两面，共同勾勒出当代女性内心的风景。

当生活变得拥挤，请记得奈美兔的kiss，当你迷失在他人的目光中，请记得像她一样，闭上眼，倾听自己，然后勇敢地说出“Yes”或“No”。

Foreword：

On July 11, 2026, WAS Art Center will present artist Zhang Ge's solo exhibition in Ningbo,Less is Namito. Centered on the core creative philosophy that Namito founder Zhang Ge has long upheld—"doing subtraction for the soul"—the exhibition features the art IP "Namito" as its protagonist, offering emotional solace to those trapped in contemporary anxiety and inviting viewers on a healing journey of inner reconciliation and a return to the self.

A graduate of the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, Zhang Ge is one of China's representative contemporary crossover artists. Recognized not only within the art world, she has also become a cultural icon for urban youth. Zhang Ge's work consistently adheres to the principle of "doing subtraction for the soul." Her pieces allow the image itself to become a vessel for emotion—when external accumulation is stripped away, inner strength truly emerges. Namito resonates with people precisely because she is simple enough and sincere enough—she is a "child." In philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche's concept of the "three metamorphoses of the spirit," the "child" stands above the "camel" and the "lion" as the freest and most authentic state of being. The camel bears the burden of social values, the lion seeks to rebel and seize power, but the child simply lives, following its own will and measuring the world by its own standards. Namito is that "child." She keeps her eyes closed—not to escape the world, but to refuse the interference of its noise; she keeps her hands in her pockets—not out of arrogance, but with the confidence of not needing to please anyone.

Our era offers us more choices, but with them comes greater noise. In our pursuit of "more," we gradually lose our most authentic selves. Zhang Ge has keenly captured this spiritual predicament of contemporary people. Through art, she responds by creating a little girl named Namito, using her purest existence to tell everyone: You don't have to push so hard. Give your soul some subtraction, and you can return to your true nature. You can say yes, and you can say no.

In the Namito universe Zhang Ge has built, we feel a gentle healing power. It is neither sentimental nor didactic; it simply carves out a small, quiet space amid the chaos, inviting you to pause, take a deep breath, and let go of unnecessary anxieties, comparisons, people-pleasing, and inner conflicts—one by one. Meanwhile, in a corner of the gallery, we also present another IP character from Zhang Ge's oeuvre—Sofia the Peaceful Sheep—who softly echoes with her relaxed philosophy of "fleece comes from the sheep itself": life needn't be so strenuous; releasing yourself regularly is how you warm others. Sofia and Namito—one responsible for healing, the other for courage—are like two sides of the same coin, together sketching the inner landscape of contemporary women.

When life grows crowded, remember Namito's kiss. When you lose yourself in the gaze of others, remember to close your eyes like her, listen to yourself, and then bravely say "Yes" or "No."
