2022年率意大利男排时隔24年重夺世锦赛冠军并当选MVP，2025年成功卫冕男排世锦赛冠军；2025年世界男排联赛中率队首次闯入前三，个人获评赛事最佳二传。

Simone Giannelli, born on August 9, 1996 in Bolzano, Italy, is 2 meters tall. He plays as a setter, currently serves as the captain of the Italian Men's National Volleyball Team, plays for Sir Safety Perugia, and wears the No.6 jersey.

In 2022, he led the Italian team to reclaim the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship title after a 24-year gap and was named the tournament MVP. He successfully defended the World Championship title in 2025. At the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, he led the team to secure its first-ever top-three finish and was honored as the Best Setter
