填报志愿前，她曾透露，基本敲定报考清华大学，庞众望是她的榜样（）。
7月24日，韩雅平高中母校郏县实验高中发视频透露，韩雅平已被清华大学录取。
A rural student from Central China's Henan province has been admitted to Tsinghua University after scoring 699 on this year's national college entrance examination, overcoming financial hardship through years of determination and hard work.
Han Yaping had previously said she planned to apply to Tsinghua University and regarded Tsinghua student Pang Zhongwang as her role model. Her former high school in Jiaxian county announced her admission on Friday.
韩雅平高考英语分数高达146分，她所在班级的英语平均分超过140分。
据了解，韩雅平于2007年出生在郏县堂街镇曹庄村，家中还有一个读初中的妹妹。韩雅平全家住在三间平房里，家中的墙面上贴着28张奖状。
韩雅平的母亲十几岁时确诊为强直性脊柱炎，仅能做些简单家务。父亲平日在家务农，农闲时便去周边建筑工地打零工，辛苦打拼供两个女儿上学。
郏县残疾人联合会已为韩雅平的母亲办理了残疾证，当地党委、政府也将其纳入农村低保范围，给予救助保障。
Born in 2007, Han lives with her parents and younger sister. Her mother has ankylosing spondylitis (a type of inflammatory disease that mainly affects the spine), while her father works as a farmer and takes construction jobs during the off-season to support the family. The household also receives government assistance.
“家庭物质上的贫困，是我学习最大的动力。我深刻明白，只有学好知识，才能改变自己和家庭的命运。”韩雅平说。
"Material hardship has been my greatest motivation to study," Han said. "I know that only through education can I change my own future and that of my family."
对于网友将其形容为“女版庞众望”的说法，韩雅平觉得有压力：“我和人家不能比，还有差距。但我想靠近他，成为他那样的人。”
Responding to online comparisons calling her the "female version of Pang Zhongwang", Han said she felt pressure.
"I can't compare myself with him. There's still a gap," she said. "But I hope to become someone like him."
