As the trend of Hong Kong residents traveling north for shopping and leisure continues to gather steam, payment service facilitation in the Greater Bay Area has taken another step forward. On July 23, UnionPay International made the official announcement in Hong Kong that it will exclusively support Hong Kong and Macao residents in claiming the 2026 subsidies for home appliance trade-ins and purchases of new digital and smart products (hereinafter referred to as the "National Subsidies"), bringing cross-border consumption benefits within easier reach than ever.

本次服务升级进一步简化补贴申领流程，持有回乡证的港澳居民，仅需绑定银联卡和港澳本地手机号码，便可通过云闪付APP完成补贴申领，无需额外填报内地手机号码等个人信息。

This service upgrade further streamlines the subsidy application process. Hong Kong and Macao residents holding a Mainland Travel Permit now only need to save their UnionPay card and local mobile phone number in the UnionPay App to complete the subsidy application directly — with no need to provide additional personal information such as a mainland mobile phone number.

领取补贴后，港澳居民在广东省指定线下商户购买家电及数码产品时可直接抵扣消费款项。本次国家补贴福利优厚，可按商品售价的15%予以优惠减免，单件商品最高补贴1500元。

Once the subsidy is claimed, Hong Kong and Macao residents can apply it directly to their purchases when buying home appliances or digital products at designated offline merchants in Guangdong province. The National Subsidy Program offers generous benefits, providing a 15 percent discount on the tag price, with a maximum subsidy of CNY 1,500 per item.

相较于以往需提供内地手机号和内地银联卡的传统模式，全新流程大幅降低了港澳居民享受国家惠民政策的准入门槛，真正实现“一键申领、即领即用”，将显著优化港澳居民北上消费体验，激活大湾区消费活力。

Compared with the traditional process that required a mainland mobile phone number and a mainland UnionPay card, the new approach significantly lowers the entry barrier for Hong Kong and Macao residents looking to take advantage of this national welfare policy. With a true "one click application and immediate use" experience, it is set to greatly enhance the cross-boundary spending journey for Hong Kong and Macao residents travelling to the mainland while also revitalizing consumer activity across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
