近日，部分网民和媒体在短视频平台、微信朋友圈及群聊中传播“吴起境内出现豹子”相关视频，引发群众及媒体关注。
A video that was claimed to show a leopard in Wuqi county, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, was traced to a different location following an official investigation.
7月28日晚，吴起县联合调查组发布情况通报称，县委、县政府高度重视，立即责成由县公安局、林业局等部门组成联合调查组，开展点对点溯源核查，经核查该视频实地不在吴起县行政区域内。
A joint investigation found the footage was not filmed in Wuqi county.
经县公安局点对点溯源：7月26日，居民康某（某油气技术公司工人）由富县前往“上1154平4”井场途中，在进入上畛子林场检查站5公里处，发现路边玉米地有豹子出现。康某随即用手机拍摄视频，首发于家族微信群，随后其父转发至亲戚群，逐级扩散致网络流传。
Police said the video was recorded on Sunday by an oil and gas worker traveling from Fuxian county to a drilling site. He spotted the leopard in a roadside cornfield and shared the footage in his family's group chat on WeChat, from where it spread online.
县林业局已将相关情况及时通报豹子发现地的林业部门，同时对吴起县域内山林、农田开展排查，未发现豹子等大型野生猫科动物活动踪迹，未接到牲畜伤亡或人员受袭报告。
The county's forestry bureau said it had informed the authorities responsible for the area where the leopard was spotted. Inspections in Wuqi county found no signs of leopards or other large wild cats, and no livestock losses or attacks on people have been reported.
联合调查组提醒，广大网民应以权威渠道发布的信息为准，主动辨别网络信息真伪，理性看待，不造谣、不信谣、不传谣，无需恐慌。
