8月5日《报刊文摘》介绍“三毛”王龙基，新书《往事踪影：三毛的朋友圈》日前首发，电影《三毛流浪记》“三毛”扮演者、该书作者王龙基与现场读者一同重温经典、追忆往事。
王龙基今年已86岁了，参加《三毛流浪记》的拍摄时，他才8岁。当年剧组面试了成百上千个孩子，始终没有找到理想的“三毛”。直到有一天，导演严恭在片场附近看到了正在和小伙伴玩弹子的他——他当时瘦瘦小小的，大脑袋、细脖子，一双大眼睛特别有神，严恭顿时说:“就是他了!”而张乐平先生也对这位小“三毛”非常认可。
王龙基说，为了还原流浪儿的真实状态，导演要求极高。“三毛”的大鼻子是用橡皮泥捏的，每次化妆要花很长时间，而且夏天拍戏容易融化，冬天又会冻硬，但他戴着它演戏，一戴就是好几个月。在成为家喻户晓的小童星后，王龙基的父母告诫他要夹起尾巴,不要骄傲，要学知识，学文化。
王龙基后来息影求学，并从工人、车间主任、副厂长到高级工程师一路走过来，最终成为一位技术专家。他曾经连续多年担任中国电子电路行业协会副理事长兼秘书长。他的朋友透露，王龙基乐观开朗，幽默可爱，即便曾身患两种癌症也从未被击垮。
Wang Longji: From Child Star to Technology Expert
According to the WeChat account Chang’ an Avenue Oberver on July 29, the newly published book Shadows of the Past: Sanmao’ s Circle of Friends was recently launched. Wang Longji, who portrayed Sanmao in the classic film The Adventures of Sanmao the Waif and is the author of the book, attended the event, where he revisited the film with readers and shared memories from the past.
Now 86 years old, Wang Longji was only eight when he took part in the filming of The Adventures of Sanmao the Waif. At the time, the production team auditioned hundreds of children but failed to find the ideal actor for the role of Sanmao. One day, director Yan Gong spotted the young Wang Longji playing marbles with his friends near the film set. Thin and undersized, with a large head, a slender neck and bright, expressive eyes, he perfectly matched the image of the comic character. “ That’ s him!” Yan Gong exclaimed. Zhang Leping, the creator of Sanmao, also approved of the young actor without hesitation.
Wang Longji recalled that the director demanded authenticity in portraying the life of a homeless child. Sanmao’ s oversized nose was sculpted from from modeling clay, and applying the makeup took a long time before each shoot. It would soften in the summer heat and harden in the winter cold, yet Wang Longji wore it throughout the filming, which lasted several months. After becoming a household child star, his parents repeatedly reminded him to remain modest, avoid complacency, and devote himself to learning and education.
After leaving the film industry, Wang Longji pursued further education and embarked on a career in engineering. Starting as a factory worker, he later served as workshop director, deputy factory director and senior engineer before eventually becoming a renowned technology expert. He also served for many years as Vice Chairman and Secretary- General of the China Printed Circuit Association. According to his friends, Wang Longji is optimistic, cheerful and humorous. Even after being diagnosed with two types of cancer, he has never been defeated by adversity.
