8月7日，受台风“白海豚”影响，浙江温岭石塘镇海边掀起巨浪，一家四口在海边堤坝上行走时，9岁男孩被卷入海中。

A 9‑year‑old boy was swept into the sea by giant waves in Wenling, Zhejiang province, on Friday as Typhoon Dolphin approaches China's eastern coast.

据红星新闻报道，网传一段视频显示，事情发生在一座由黄色岩石堆积形成的近岸海岛，有4人正快速跑过该海岛与陆地连接的石头和水泥栈道，其中2个大人为一男一女，2个孩童也是一男一女，疑似一家人。4人跑过栈道正中间时，凶猛的海浪袭来，冲击栈道，高达数米的海浪立即将4人冲倒在地。

The incident happened when a family of four, two adults and two children, were walking on a seaside embankment in Shitang town. A sudden surge of waves, several metres high, knocked all four to the ground and pulled the boy into the water, according to media reports.

一名目击者称台风来临，海边已围好围栏，一家四口私自翻入，有保安发现后喊话劝阻未果。

另一名当地救援人士证实，当时石塘镇已提前安排人员封堵了前往海边的道路，但“游客找小路爬了进去”。

Eyewitnesses said coastal barriers had been set up ahead of the typhoon, but the family allegedly climbed over them despite security guards' warnings. A local rescuer confirmed that access roads had been blocked, yet the tourists "found a small path and climbed in".

此外，该救援人员还称，除涉事的一家四口外，当时海岛上还有10名游客被困，最终10人被接回到岸上。

The same rescuer added that another 10 tourists were stranded on the islet at the time but were later brought back to shore safely.

8日15时许，南方日报报道，搜救工作仍在进行中。9日，澎湃新闻致电温岭市相关部门，暂未得到回复。

As of 3 pm on Saturday, search and rescue efforts were still ongoing, according to Nanfang Daily.
