Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is drawing interest from multiple NFL teams even as he faces eight felony charges — including kidnapping and armed robbery — that could carry a life sentence. According to ESPN, Arnold will visit the New Orleans Saints after spending time with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. He has also met with the Houston Texans. The 23-year-old defensive back was arrested on felony charges in June and was subsequently released by the Lions. Fox Sports reports that his arraignment hearing is scheduled for Aug. 13 in Tampa, Florida. Arnold secured a significant legal victory last month when Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella denied prosecutors' request to keep him in custody until trial. He is permitted to travel for work, which includes team visits, but must otherwise remain at home in Florida. His agent, Nicole Lynn, said during a previous court hearing that four teams had reached out to Arnold, adding there is a "very good likelihood" her client will be signed within the next 45 days, according to the Detroit Free Press. Lynn identified the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Seahawks and Texans as the interested teams. These visits are also part of a vetting process, allowing teams to gather more information about his legal situation. In 24 games over two seasons with the Lions, Arnold recorded 91 tackles, 18 passes defended and one interception. Arnold was arrested in June on four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. The charges stem from an incident in February, when Arnold and friends were robbed during a stay in Largo, Florida. Multiple items were allegedly stolen, including $100,000 in cash and an $80,000 necklace, with the group reporting total property losses of more than $250,000.
