Leandro Vissotto, a core member of Brazil men's volleyball golden generation, has taken over the head coaching role of Brazilian Super League powerhouse Minas Tênis Clube for the new season. Born in 1983, the 2.12m giant is a legendary opposite spiker who left a deep mark in international volleyball history.
The iconic star player Thaísa Menezes remains on the Minas roster for the upcoming campaign. The previous head coach of the team was widely noted for his striking resemblance to a witty version of Mr. Bean.
The club officially unveiled its new match jerseys at the concurrent press conference, though many fans commented that the new design is less sleek and streamlined compared to previous editions.
