中国歌剧舞剧院微信公众号8月12日凌晨发布讣告：中国共产党优秀党员，“人民艺术家”国家荣誉称号获得者，“最美奋斗者”荣誉称号获得者，“中国文联终身成就戏剧家”荣誉称号获得者，第一、二、三、五、六届全国人民代表大会代表，中国歌剧舞剧院一级演员，著名歌剧表演艺术家郭兰英同志，因病于2026年8月11日17时14分在广州逝世，享年97岁。

遵照郭兰英同志生前“不设灵堂、不举行追悼会和遗体告别仪式”遗愿，丧事一切从简。

Guo Lanying, one of China's most celebrated opera singers, and a recipient of the "People's Artist" title, died on Tuesday in Guangzhou, Guanngdong province. She was 97.

The China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater announced her passing in an obituary released in the early hours of Wednesday. The theater said, in accordance with her wishes, no memorial hall, funeral service, or farewell ceremony would be held, and all arrangements would be kept simple.

郭兰英塑造了歌剧《白毛女》中的喜儿、《小二黑结婚》中的小芹等经典舞台形象，并演唱了《我的祖国》《南泥湾》《人说山西好风光》《八月十五月儿明》等脍炙人口的歌曲，这些歌曲至今仍被广泛传唱。

Guo was best known for her iconic stage portrayals of Xi'er in The White-Haired Girl and Xiaoqin in Xiao Erhei's Marriage. Her recorded songs, including My Motherland and Nanniwan, became enduringly popular and have remained in public memory for more than half a century.
