最近，沈腾主演的电影《欢迎来龙餐馆》上映，立刻引爆口碑，豆瓣评分已涨至8.5。
电影讲述了一名中国人到中东中餐馆当厨师，而后遭遇战争的故事。片名里的“龙餐馆”就是这家餐厅的名字。
Once Upon a Time in the Middle East follows Xu Fu, a Chinese chef who finds himself caught up in a desperate struggle to save lives amid the flames of war in the Middle East.
光看名字，你可能以为这是一部喜剧，但其实它更是一部反战电影。主题是沉重、引人深思的，但内核却又是质朴而温暖的。
电影的译名没有直译成“Welcome to Loong Restaurant”，而是“Once Upon a Time in the Middle East”。
“Once upon a time”是一个固定短语，相当于“从前，很久以前”，它带有一种今昔对比的含义，通常用于怀旧语境中。

“Once Upon a Time in the Middle East”字面理解就是《中东往事》，这一译名其实也是向这些影史经典致敬。
它的潜台词是这部电影讲述的不仅是一个关于中餐馆的故事，还是一个以个人命运为缩影的中东故事。
有评论认为，《欢迎来龙餐馆》以简朴的“好好吃饭”为切口，将中国人命运与共、以和为贵、反对强权的理念潜移默化地融入在影片中，堪称经典之作。
The film doesn't preach or tell you what to think. It just shows you a chef, a restaurant, a war and the small acts of kindness that survive. The taste it leaves the viewer with is that "having a good meal" should be the norm for people everywhere.
据CGTN报道，在海外，影片也已未映先热。在许多网友看来，以《欢迎来龙餐馆》为代表的中国电影，正在颠覆好莱坞的传统叙事套路，在更高层面重新定义全球叙事的逻辑与价值。
Moviegoers have called it one of the most emotionally powerful Chinese films in years. There is already a buzz building overseas even before its international release. Viewers say it is challenging trite storytelling, bringing a perspective rarely seen in the genre.
