Sitting across from a petitioner,

我常在心里告诫自己

For a lawyer,

这只是一个案子

this is just a case.

但对于他来说

But for him,

那是他的整个人生

it is his entire life.

案子很轻

The case is light,

人生很重

the life is heavy.

心像一架天平

The heart is a scale,
