部分网友认为这首歌抄袭了田柾国的《Standing Next to You》。一位用户写道：“me when I order gucci jungkook but receive shein jungkook instead: https://t.co/YSeBDCTpHt”。另一位用户发文称：“you will never be him give up pic.twitter.com/N1FSAT9sHJ https://t.co/QGqm66rkjB”。还有网友表示：“It looks copy of STANDING NEXT TO YOU by Jungkook lol Evan why?”

但也有网友反驳了这种说法，认为这首歌的灵感来自迈克尔·杰克逊，田柾国并不拥有这类概念。一位用户写道：“the concept of seeing a music video so clearly inspired by michael jackson and saying it reminds you of a kpop idol instead pic.twitter.com/1XZJfl91hQ”。另一位自称是BTS粉丝的用户表示：“armys why tf yall ganging up on Heeseung?last time I checked, Jungkook doesn't own the whole 'suit' setup and the song is NOWHERE near like snty, yall embarrassing your own fandom atp no wonder everybody hates yalls ass don't make me regret being an army juseyo ”。
