NEW YORK, Sept. 4, 2026 (ET) — Good News Corporation today released the official announcement for the 24th Annual International Day of Peace Concert in Times Square, revealing the full program of this year's landmark event.
Presented under the theme "Pause the World, LOVE YOUR MOTHER," the concert serves both as the signature celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace (September 21) and as the kick‑off concert of NYC Climate Week — a meeting point of peace and the planet at the Crossroads of the World.
Time & Venue
The concert will take place on September 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM (ET), at the central open‑air plaza of Times Square, between West 46th and West 47th Streets, and will be rebroadcast globally at noon (ET) on September 21 — the exact day of the United Nations International Day of Peace — followed by a worldwide Moment of Silence for Peace. Broadcasts will be available on YouTube (GoodNewsBroadcast), wedonthavetime.org, and other platforms.

Star‑Studded Program
According to the official announcement, this year's program includes Ringo Starr, legendary member of The Beatles, leading the Moment of Silence (virtual); Academy Award winner Michael Douglas; Grammy legend Stevie Wonder; Shakira (virtual), performing in support of UNICEF and closing with a virtual performance of "Tomorrow" from Annie; global K‑Pop group BlingOne, presented by the World K‑Pop Center; the cast of the musical His Life; Dionne Warwick (virtual), joining a tribute to Dolly Parton with "Peace Like a River"; and a memorial tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall, UN Messenger of Peace. Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman‑Sigal and other dignitaries will join the live clean‑energy broadcast segment.

A Moment of Silence Honoring the 25th Anniversary of September 11
This year's concert carries a profound resonance. Paul Sladkus, founder of the concert and of Good News Corporation, said:
"On September 11, 2001, a tragedy brought grief to this very city of New York. Twenty‑five years later, we gather once again at the Crossroads of the World — turning remembrance into resolve. The 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance in this year's program is a reminder that peace is not an abstraction, but a promise made to every generation — and that from the site of wounds can rise the world's most enduring message of healing."
Woodstock Forever & America's 250th
The event also marks the global premiere of the documentary Woodstock, Forever: Peace, Love and HOPE, filmed by Good News Corporation founder Paul Sladkus and the Woodstock Generation Group alongside Richie Havens since 1989. Premiering globally on September 21 following the concert, the film arrives in the year of America's 250th anniversary, celebrating freedom of speech and the enduring spirit of peace and love.
Global Peace Poles
In partnership with May Peace Prevail on Earth, the organizers are launching a virtual Global Peace Pole Project, inviting families, communities, and institutions around the world to place a Peace Pole in their country, community, home, or business.
