Introduction
本次展览“还看今朝——陈家泠艺术展”以“畅游、新韵、明心、骨法、象外、归器”六大板块为脉络，系统呈现了陈家泠先生的艺术实践从笔墨技法到东方哲思的完整探索路径。展览不仅是对陈家泠耄耋之年艺术成就的集中展示，更是一场关于中国传统美学当代转化的深度对话。
从纸上的清荷到窑变中的幻彩，从传统的笔墨到数字的光影，陈家泠始终以“仰望，以无招胜有招，圆融无碍，大化迁流”为信条，在守正与创新之间构建起属于这个时代的美学体系。此次展览既是对陈家泠先生毕生求索的凝练呈现，也为观者开启了一扇通往东方哲学深处的大门——它让我们看见，真正的创新从不背离传统，而是在对中国绘画传统的深化中大胆突破，生长出属于这个时代的鲜活气象。
The exhibition, titled "The Present Beyond Time: Chen Jialing Art Exhibition", is structured around six thematic sections, namely, Roaming the Mountains, New Rhythms, Seeing the True Nature, Forceful Brushstrokes, Beyond the Image, Returning to the Vessel, which together trace the artist's complete journey including technical mastery and philosophical contemplation. More than a retrospective of his late-career achievements, the exhibition is a profound dialogue on the contemporary reinvention of classical Chinese aesthetics.
From the clean lotus on paper to the colors born of kiln fire, from traditional brush-and-ink to digital light and shadow, Chen Jialing has always held fast to the creed: "Look upward. Achieve mastery through no-method. Nothing obstructs in perfect harmony. All things move in the great current of transformation." In balancing tradition with innovation, he has forged an aesthetic system for our time. This exhibition not only distills a lifetime of relentless inquiry but also opens a doorway into the depths of Eastern philosophy, revealing that genuine innovation never departs from tradition. Rather, it takes root in the deepening of Chinese painting heritage, and from that root, grows a vibrant new life that belongs to the present.

陈家泠
Chen Jialing
陈家泠，画家，新海派水墨画领军人物。1937年出生于浙江杭州，祖籍广西，现长居上海。1958年入浙江美术学院中国画系，师从潘天寿先生初习人物画；七十年代又转益多师，随陆俨少先生研习山水与书法，后专攻花鸟，由此奠定了融汇人物、山水、花鸟与书法的深厚传统根基。在此基础上，他对传统中国画的水墨语言予以大胆创新，其画作清新简约、灵动飘逸。在水墨的世界里，他如顽童，用自然线条勾勒万物，挥洒性情；更在宣纸、陶瓷、缂丝等不同介质上追求神来之笔，拓展了水墨艺术的当代表达边界。年届耄耋，陈家泠笔耕不辍，他用画笔描摹时代，以水墨挥就人情。在陈家泠先生的艺术世界里，时间仿佛失去了效力。年届九旬的他，依然保持着令青年艺术家都为之汗颜的创作激情与探索勇气。
Chen Jialing is a painter and leading figure of the New Shanghai School (haipai) ink painting. Born in Hangzhou in 1937, of Guangxi ancestry, he now lives in Shanghai. In 1958, he entered the Chinese Painting Department of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, initially studying figure painting under Pan Tianshou. In the 1970s, he broadened his practice under Lu Yanshao, studying landscape painting and calligraphy before turning to focus on flower-and-bird painting—thus building a foundation of traditional Chinese painting that seamlessly integrates figures, landscapes, flowers, and calligraphy. Building on this ground, he boldly reinvented the language of ink: his works are lucid, spare, fluid, and ethereal. In the world of ink, he paints like a child, delineating all things with natural lines with his free spirit. Across paper, porcelain, and Chinese silk tapestry (kesi), he pursues inspired touches beyond artifice, expanding the contemporary reach of ink art. Despite an old age, Chen remains tirelessly at work, capturing his times with the brush and channeling human sentiment through ink. In his artistic universe, time seems to lose its hold. At almost 90 years old, he sustains a creative fervor and exploratory daring that would humble many a young artist.
