最近我发了一些关于要降低英语权重的文章，没想到，却遭到了一些人的嘲笑。他们说："你一个农民工，不懂英语，有什么资格谈英语的权重？有什么资格评价胡锡进和郎咸平？他们把英语捧上神坛怎么了，跟你有什么关系？你对英语一窍不通，你有什么资格评价？"
我听了这些话，觉得有点可笑，也有点好玩。
今天我就用中英双语来回答这个问题。
People look down on me just because I'm a migrant worker — but I don't mind at all.
有人瞧不起我，就因为我是个农民工——但我完全不介意。

Our country puts people at the center, not capital.
我们国家以人民为中心，而不是以资本为中心。
Since I'm a migrant worker, I embody the qualities of both workers and farmers.
我既然是个农民工，就兼具工人和农民的特性。
We migrant workers are the backbone of this country. We are the builders of this nation, not slaves to society.
我们农民工是这个国家的脊梁。我们是国家的建设者，不是社会的奴隶。
Make no mistake about it.
别搞错了。
We live in a great socialist country.
我们生活在伟大的社会主义国家。
Living in such a country, with an identity like mine, I feel immensely proud.
生活在这样的国家，拥有我这样的身份，我感到无比光荣。
Go ahead and laugh all you want — I'm at peace with it.
你尽管嘲笑吧，我坦然接受。
所以你看，我一个农民工，不懂英语怎么了？我不需要把英语捧上神坛，也不需要谁给我发一张"有资格说话"的许可证。我是这个国家的建设者，我有我的尊严，我有我的底气。你们笑就笑吧，我心自安！
