14日晚，加拿大总理卡尼乘机抵达北京首都国际机场，开启为期4天的访华行程。卡尼此访是加拿大总理8年来首次访华。
CGTN新媒体拍客来到多伦多，邀请当地居民谈谈他们对中国的印象，以及对中加两国合作的了解。多位受访者不约而同地提到，“经济”和“强国”是他们联想到中国的关键词。一位名叫拉曼（Raman）的外联部经理认为，中国是任何国家在发展道路上都希望拥有的合作伙伴。谈及两国合作，他评论道，这次卡尼总理的出访是个很好的机会，可以借机与中国沟通合作事宜，与中国政府一道解决关税政策等问题。
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will pay an official visit to China from January 14 to 17 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. This visit marks the first trip to China by a Canadian prime minister since 2017. CGTN Stringer interviewed people in Toronto about their impressions of China and their views on cooperation between China and Canada. Many interviewees mentioned "economy" and "powerhouse" as keywords they associate with China. Raman, a business liaison manager, believes China is the kind of partner every country hopes to have on its development path. Regarding bilateral cooperation, he commented that Carney's visit presents an excellent opportunity to engage with China on cooperative matters and work with the Chinese government to resolve issues like tariff policies.
