在寒假期间，我通过大连晚报得知在大连新华书店有一个“读好书，践美德，争做文明小使者”活动，我毫不犹豫的电话报名参加了。

此次活动的内容主要是为读者推荐好书，为读者提供帮助，帮助购书人找到想要的书。

首先，书店的店员为我们介绍了各种书的摆放位置，还有利用电脑查询书籍的方法。然后，她又给我们分发了志愿者的证件，以便让顾客找到我们。起初，刚戴上志愿者的标牌，就有许多顾客来找我 询问，我服务的楼层为少儿图书，大部分读者及买书人为家长和小学生，我向他们推荐热销书、教材及练习册，热情地与他们交谈，并且把我初中及小学的经验与他们分享，来指引他们如何选择适合自己的书及练习册，同时我也发现有许多老人来为自己的孙子孙女买练习册，他们有时找不到自己想要的书籍，我便帮助他们并且教会他们如何使用电脑进行查书。

通过这次活动，我进一步了解了人们来到书店的原因，以及不同人群阅读的不同书籍。同时，我还帮助了许多需要帮助的读者，这让我感到了“赠人玫瑰，手有余香”的快乐。我想这次“走进书店，明德修身”的实践活动一定会深深铭记在我的脑海中。

In these two days, I took part in an activity in Xinhua bookshop. My job was to introduce the books which were well-sold to the readers and help the readers find the books that they want to buy or read. Firstly, the employee of the bookshop told us the location of every kind of books and the way to use computer to find where the books are. Then, I received a working card. I hung it in the front of my chest. Everyone who saw my card would ask me for help. The floor I served for was only for kids. I found that many parents and students were worried about the examinations. I shared my experience which I gained from my junior high and primary school with them. After understanding what I said, they got a right way to choose the right books for them. Secondly, I helped the orders find the books they want and told them the method of using computer to know where the books are. Finally, I received my certificate of merit from the bookshop. They were satisfied with my job in the bookshop in these 2 days. From this, I gained lots of experience and knowledge from this job, which would influence my whole life. If it is possible, I will do it again in my summer vacation. Helping others can give me a lot of pleasure.
