CASA MOITA SANTA 莫伊塔圣诞老人之家

Located in Santiago da Guarda, Leiria, Casa Moita Santa is built in a setting characterized by the presence of oak trees and the occasional presence of piles of stones on the site. The concept of the house was born not only in response to the location, but also to the needs of the clients: to offer privacy from the public highway and the need to include a basement. In this sense, the main objective was to try to hide the basement from the street.

Casa Moita Santa 位于莱里亚的圣地亚哥达瓜尔达，周围环绕着橡树，偶尔还有成堆的石头。房屋概念的诞生不仅是为了响应其位置，也是为了满足客户的需求：提供远离公共高速公路的隐私以及需要包括地下室。从这个意义上说，主要目标是试图将地下室隐藏在街道上。

In this way, the first floor benefits from the -1 floor, which functions as an element based on only four structural elements, capable of conveying the feeling of being a unique and singular piece that doesn't touch the ground. In addition, the slabs are conceptually slightly curved, integrated by the alignment of the public road. Given the proximity of the road network, it was important to develop the house in such a way as to provide the necessary privacy for living inside. In this way, Casa Moita Santa opens up with generous openings to the interior of the property, while maintaining essential openings to the southwest. From a programmatic point of view, the project has been developed on two levels: the ground floor and the first floor.

The first floor serves as the living core of the house, housing the social and private spaces such as the kitchen, pantry, living and dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, office and suite. Throughout the house, the rooms enjoy natural light from large openings to the northeast and interior courtyards. On the other hand, the -1 floor, or basement, was designed to accommodate the technical areas, storage, engine room, plumbing, garage and laundry. Casa Moita Santa is characterized by the elegance of the white color throughout the interior and exterior, the striking use of wood and the occasional stone detail.

Binni House 由 Source Architects 设计

Located on an amazing site outside Cowra NSW, Binni is a house for a farmer turned painter. The house sits on a plateau with enormous views over canola fields, and is broken into traditional ‘service’ and ‘served’ spaces with the service spaces being housed in a sculptural white brick form, and the living and sleeping spaces sitting under a fine skillion roof.

Views out of the house and carefully framed to capture key moments and immediate views, and the larger landscape beyond. The framed view at the entry is designed to capture the colours of the fields beyond through the year and the view from the bath is oriented to look back towards the original family homestead. Internally, walls and openings are carefully designed for the hanging of the owners own paintings and his extensive collection of works by Australian landscape painters. Joinery employs the soft curves of the exterior brick form and interiors are suitably muted in deference to the art and the living art outside.
