Tea is a business card of China that conveys its history and culture.
万里茶道湖北段文物主题游径对接国家“一带一路”倡议，把万里茶道申遗点、沿线文物保护单位、历史文化名城名镇名村、博物馆、A级景区、茶园、茶企等丰富的文旅资源统筹利用，串珠成链，以丰富多彩的文旅活动推动文化遗产活态传承，勾陈茶道历史，再续茶道辉煌。
In response to the Belt and Road Initiative, the project of Cultural Heritage Theme Tour of the Great Tea Route (Hubei Section) makes comprehensive use of the abundant cultural tourism resources of national heritage sites of the Great Tea Route as well as the cultural relic protection sites, famous historical and cultural cities, towns and villages, A-level scenic spots, museums, tea gardens, tea companies, etc. along the route, just like making the pearls into a brilliant chain. With diverse activities of cultural tourism, it promotes the living inheritance of cultural heritages in order to retell the history of the Great Tea Route and forge the glorious future of this route.
万里茶道湖北段文物主题游径主要途经武汉、咸宁、赤壁、鹤峰、五峰、宜都、宜昌、襄阳。
Along the Hubei section of this route, we will travel successively to Wuhan, Xianning, Chibi, Hefeng, Wufeng, Yidu, Yichang and Xiangyang.

此行第三站便是“中国青砖茶之乡”——赤壁。
The third stop on this trip is Chibi, the hometown of China’s green brick tea.
在万里茶道最盛时期，各种声音在这里交织成了关于茶的独特乐章。茶叶加工作坊机器的轰鸣声，运茶“鸡公车”在青石板上碾过的吱呀声，新店码头船夫激情澎湃的号子，粤汉铁路上火车的呜呜声......
In the heyday of the Great Tea Route, various sounds were integrated into a unique symphony about tea: the roaring of machines in the tea processing workshops, the creaking of the wooden wheelbarrows transporting tea on the roads of green stone slabs, the passionate singing of boatmen at Xindian Dock, and the whistling of trains on the Guangzhou-Wuchang Railway....
羊楼洞古镇

羊楼洞古镇地处湘鄂交界之要冲，位于赤壁市西南30公里处，是万里茶道生产路段的加工、商贸类遗存。其是文献所载“芙蓉仙茶”出产地，反映了青砖茶、红砖茶的加工、贸易的全过程，见证了俄商带来的砖茶机器生产技术更新的历程，证实了该地区为我国明清时期著名的内销、外贸商品茶基地的核心地位。
Yangloudong Ancient Town is located at the crossroads of Hunan and Hubei, 30 kilometers southwest of Chibi City. It is a processing and commercial relic of the of the Great Tea Route. As the origin of the Lotus Fairy Tea in the literature, it has seen the whole history of processing and trading in green brick tea and red brick tea. It witnessed the course of updating the technology of brick tea machine brought by Russian merchants, which confirms the core position of this town as a famous center of domestic and foreign trade for commodity tea in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
古镇始建于明万历年间，盛于清道光-咸丰年间，最盛时有茶叶加工作坊和茶庄、钱庄100多家，俄商等竞相在此办厂制茶。
The ancient town was founded in the Wanli years of the Ming Dynasty, prosperous in the Daoguang-Xianfeng years of the Qing Dynasty. At its peak, there were more than 100 tea processing workshops, tea houses and banks and Russian businessmen competed to set up factories to make tea here.
在近代粤汉铁路修通之前，生产出来的洞茶出口均通过邻近的新店码头转运至汉口。
Before the Guangzhou-Wuchang Railway was constructed, the Dong Tea produced in Yangloudong Ancient Town was transferred to Hankou via the nearby Xindian Dock.

现存一条以明清建筑为主的古街，为省级文物保护单位，青石板铺设，历代运茶的“鸡公车”将青石板碾成寸余深槽，伴有数条丁字小巷，街道随松峰港曲折逶迤，别具一格。羊楼洞港小流域是全省小流域综合治理五个试点之一，千年古镇“月夜羊楼”成为万里茶道遗产点上的一座不夜城。
There is an ancient street with Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, which is a provincial cultural relics protection site. It is paved with green stone slabs. Since ancient times, the wooden wheelbarrows transporting tea have crushed one-inch-deep groove on the stone slabs. Connected with several small alleys, the street twists and turns along Songfeng Port in a unique style. Yangloudong Port sub-watershed is one of the five pilot projects of comprehensive management of small watersheds in the Hubei province, and the thousand-year-old Yangloudong has become a town that never sleeps on the Great Tea Route.
如今，古街上新泰茶厂、中俄万里茶道展览馆、阜昌茶庄、盒茶帮、厘金局、邮局（电报局）、羊楼书院、广济堂等历史遗存与万国茶市琳琅满目的茶产品和来自全国各地的茶店茶商相得益彰，再现往昔羊楼古镇盛景。
In today’s ancient street, Xintai Tea Factory, China-Russia Great Tea Route Exhibition Hall, Fuchang Tea House, Tea-Boxing Group Guild Hall, Old Tax Bureau, Old Post Office (Telegraph Office), Yanglou Academy, Guangjitang Pharmacy and other historical relics as well as Wanguo Tea Market that contains a good variety of tea products and tea stores from all over China complement each other, recreating the prosperous scene of the Yangloudong Town at its golden age.

新店明清石板街

新店明清石板街位于赤壁市西南28公里的新店镇。
Xindian Ming-Qing Slate Street is located in Xindian Town, 28 kilometers southwest of Chibi City.
新店自明初便是湘、鄂、赣三省交界的重要商道，清中期以后，羊楼洞所产青砖茶、米砖茶均从新店码头起运，远销蒙古、俄罗斯、欧洲等地。
Located at the junction of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces，Xindian has been an important trade route station since the beginning of Ming Dynasty. Since the middle of Qing Dynasty, green brick tea and rice brick tea produced in Yangloudong were shipped from Xindian Dock and were exported to Mongolia, Russia, Europe and other places.

现存“一岸两港三街五桥八码头”集镇格局，以明清石板街为中心，延伸至蟠河边的码头、石拱桥、洋行货仓、清真寺等交通、商业及宗教建筑，周边保留有2.8万亩茶园。
The town has the layout of “one bank, two ports, three streets, five bridges and eight docks”, with the Ming-Qing Slate Street as the central line, extending to the docks, stone arch bridges, foreign warehouses, mosques and other transportation, commercial and religious buildings by the Pan River and 28,000-mu (about 1867 hectares) tea plantations on the outskirts.
古街“街铺共生、内外渗透”的街道空间，“小而内聚”的街道尺度，以及“店宅合一”的建筑风格，使之成为内陆研究明清建筑不可多得的模本，是一件不可多得的历史瑰宝，是一幅绚丽的明清画卷，是一本可圈可点的历史教科书。
The street space of “store symbiosis, internal-external penetration”, the street scale of “small and internal gathering”, and the architectural style of “store-house unity” make it a rare model of the Ming and Qing dynasties’ architecture for research in China. It is a precious historical treasure, a splendid picture scroll of Ming and Qing dynasties, and a remarkable history textbook.

赤壁青砖茶博物馆地处羊楼洞古镇，展现了“赤壁青砖茶的历史”，陈列展示藏品约2000件/套。
Chibi Green Brick Tea Museum, located in Yangloudong Ancient Town, shows the history of Chibi Green Brick Tea by displaying about 2,000 pieces/sets of collectibles.

从纵向时间轴和横向器物对比的双重维度进行诠释，基本陈列分为三个单元：中国古代茶文化、青砖茶的故乡一一赤壁、万里茶道。
From the double dimension of interpretation——timeline (vertical) and artifacts comparison (horizontal), the basic display is divided into three units: ancient Chinese tea culture, Chibi as the hometown of green brick tea, and the Great Tea Route.
分别从历史源流、经济沿革、文化交流等视角，全面展现茶叶的起源、制茶工艺的形成、茶文化的发展与中国历史演进之间的联系，及其在世界范围内的影响，同时表现青砖茶的诞生过程及相关地方茶文化的形成与发展，青砖茶在万里茶道贸易线路上的历史演进，回顾万里茶道申遗历程，展望其文化意义。
From the perspectives of historical origin, economic evolution, cultural exchanges, etc., the museum comprehensively shows the origin of tea, the formation of tea production process, the development of tea culture and the link between the evolution of China’s history, and its influence on the whole world. At the same time, it shows the birth of green brick tea, the formation and development of the relevant local tea culture as well as the historical evolution of green brick tea on the Great Tea Route. It helps us review the history of the Great Tea Route applying for the World Heritage status and realize its cultural significance.

羊楼洞茶文化生态产业园以全茶产业产品开发+茶文化旅游为核心，是集茶叶种植、茶产品研发、生产、销售与茶楼连锁经营、茶文化生态旅游于一体的现代农业产业园，拥有鄂南核心产茶区多个标准化优质茶园基地，总面积达1.2万亩，辐射周边茶叶基地达10万余亩。
Yangloudong Tea Culture Ecological Industry Park is a modern agricultural industry park that assembles the industries of tea planting; tea product development, production and sales; teahouse chain management; tea culture ecotourism. It chooses the whole tea industry product development and tea culture tourism as the core. It possesses a number of standardized high-quality tea planting bases in the E’nan tea-producing core zone, which cover a total area of 12,000 mu (800 hectares), and cooperates with the surrounding tea bases of over 100,000 mu (about 6667 hectares).
羊楼洞茶文化生态产业园是“国家乡村旅游创客示范基地”“国家级农业产业化重点龙头企业”“国家AAA级旅游景区”“国家工业旅游示范基地”“省级农业产业融合发展示范园”“省级科普教育基地”。

赤壁万亩茶园 • 茶园里梦想小镇为3A级旅游景区，2022年1月26日正式开园。
Chibi Wanmu Tea Garden & Chayuanli Dream Town is a 3A level tourist attraction. On January 26, 2022, it officially opened to the public.

景区总投资5.4亿元，规划面积4600亩，在这里感受正宗的茶文化，“陪伴是最好的爱”梦想乐园，华中地区最大的奇遇恐龙世界、亲子熊猫园、粉色沙滩、儿童无动力乐园、万里茶道主题羊楼戏民宿、“爱上你的小屋”茶园里民宿集群、红色教育主题长津湖民宿、樱花漫道、网红打卡点等特色项目，景区内的悦茗艺术酒店让游客拥有豪华酒店的舒适体验，还能呼吸山间茶园的清新纯氧，欣赏万亩茶园风光，享受喧嚣以外的宁静。

三国赤壁古战场

三国赤壁古战场为国家5A级旅游景区，位于长江中游南岸，北依湖北省会武汉，南临文化名城岳阳，地理位置优越，交通便利，长江黄金水道依境而过，是我国古代“以少胜多、以弱胜强”的七大战役中尚存原貌的古战场遗址，这里承载了世人对三国历史的经典记忆。同时，也是洞茶从新店码头起运进入东方茶港汉口的必经之地。
Red Cliff Battlefield of the Three Kingdoms is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, located in the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, north of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, and south of the cultural city of Yueyang. It enjoys a superior geographic advantage with convenient transportation, and the golden waterway Yangtze River passes by its border. As the site of the ancient battlefield that still keeps its original form among the seven battlefields of ancient China in which “the few defeat the many and the weak defeat the strong,” it carries the historical memory of the Three Kingdoms for the whole world. At the same time, it is also a necessary place for the Dong Tea to be transported from Xindian Dock to Hankou, the renowned oriental tea port.

整个景区将古战场遗址和仿汉代建筑群融合一体，高端大气，浑然天成。傲对长江，壮志满怀指点江山如画；拜风台上，羽扇轻摇，借出一个三国鼎立的新格局；凤雏庵下，参天银杏，凤雏先生隐居巧献连环计......
The whole scenic area contains the ancient battlefield ruins and a Han-Dynasty-style complex. Faced with the Yangtze River, Zhou Yu ambitiously watched the picturesque landscape; on the Wind Praying Terrace, Zhuge Liang lightly shook his feather fan and pointed out the Strategy of the Three Kingdoms; in the Little Phoenix Hut, the hermit Pang Tong worked out the Interlocking Stratagem under a towering ginkgo tree....
景区内的赤壁山、南屏山、金銮山、拜风台、凤雏庵、翼江亭，无不印记当时惊天动地的鏖战壮景和叱咤风云的英豪气概，景区内另有赤壁大战陈列馆、赤壁碑廊、赤壁塔和金城、土城等数十处人文景观。
In the scenic spot, Chibi Mount, Nanping Mount, Jinluan Mount, Wind Praying Terrace, Little Phoenix Hut, and Wing River Pavilion all remind us of the earth-shattering battles and overwhelming heroism. There also exist other humanistic buildings, such as Chibi War Exhibition Hall, Chibi Monument Gallery, Chibi Tower, Golden Fortress, Earthy Fortress, etc.

With waves breaking on the shore, the ancient battlefield of Red Cliff witnessed the bravery of the heroes of the Three Kingdoms. With tea exuding attractive fragrance, the Great Tea Route winds its way to the north, telling the long history of prosperity in trade and commerce. The Red Cliff and the Great Tea Route intertwine into a magnificent historical scroll, telling the story and splendor of Chinese civilization.
