In the bustling heart of Seoul’s Myeongdong, voco Seoul Myeongdong (an IHG Hotel) rises as a vibrant fusion of brand identity and local spirit. Designed by Studio Eccentric, this 24,500 m² hotel—reborn from a post-pandemic closed building—embodies the theme “Vibrant Heart of Seoul.” Drawing from Myeongdong’s historical depth, dynamic energy, and trendy allure, the design weaves the locality into voco’s essence, creating a space that honors the neighborhood’s soul while delivering IHG’s signature hospitality.

在首尔明洞的繁华核心，明洞 voco 酒店（洲际酒店集团旗下）以品牌特质与在地精神的鲜活融合惊艳亮相。由 Studio Eccentric 设计的这座 24500 平方米酒店，从疫情后闲置的建筑中焕新重生，承载着 “首尔活力之心” 的核心主题。设计汲取明洞的历史底蕴、动感活力与潮流气息，将在地特色融入 voco 品牌基因，打造出一处既尊重街区灵魂，又彰显洲际酒店集团标志性待客之道的空间。

The design embraces efficiency without compromising charm, transforming the existing building within a limited timeframe. Rather than overhauling everything, Studio Eccentric retained the original floor and wall finishes, infusing voco’s brand colors—vibrant yellow and calm blue— to create harmony. This thoughtful approach balances preservation and renewal, turning constraints into strengths. The result is a space that feels both familiar and fresh, where the old and new coexist seamlessly, reflecting Myeongdong’s own blend of tradition and modernity.

设计在有限时间内改造既有建筑，兼顾效率与魅力。Studio Eccentric 并未全盘翻新，而是保留了原始的地面与墙面饰面，注入 voco 品牌标志性的活力黄色与沉静蓝色，营造出和谐氛围。这场精心的设计在保留与革新间找到平衡，将限制转化为优势。最终呈现的空间既熟悉又新鲜，新旧元素无缝共生，恰如明洞本身兼具传统与现代的独特气质。

Dual lobbies cater to diverse guests with intentionality. The first-floor main lobby welcomes individual travelers from the main road, while the second-floor lobby serves foreign group tourists, connecting seamlessly to tour buses. Both spaces speak the same design language: brand elements highlighted against the existing backdrop, unifying the experience. The color palette of yellow and blue complements the original finishes’ calmness, creating a cohesive, inviting atmosphere that caters to different travel needs without sacrificing consistency.

双大堂设计贴心适配不同宾客需求。一层主大堂迎接从主干道而来的散客，二层大堂则服务外国团队游客，与旅游巴士无缝衔接。两个空间沿用统一设计语言：在既有背景上突出品牌元素，让体验保持连贯。黄蓝配色与原始饰面的沉静质感相得益彰，营造出统一而亲切的氛围，既满足多样出行需求，又不失品牌一致性。

The 18th-floor VIP club lounge is a serene retreat with panoramic Namsan views. Warm wood-textured flooring, calm fabric-built-in furniture, and yellow-accented chairs create an elegant, cozy atmosphere. Here, guests can unwind amid refined surroundings, escaping the bustle below while still feeling connected to the city. Every detail—from the material selection to the color accents—speaks to luxury and comfort, offering a premium experience that elevates the hotel’s hospitality to new heights.

18 层的 VIP 俱乐部酒廊是一处坐拥南山全景的静谧休憩地。温暖的木纹地板、质感沉静的布艺嵌入式家具，搭配黄色点缀的座椅，营造出优雅而舒适的氛围。宾客可在精致的环境中放松身心，远离下方的喧嚣，却仍与城市保持联结。从材质选择到色彩点缀，每一处细节都彰显着奢华与舒适，为酒店的待客之道赋予更高维度的优质体验。
