As the Spring Festival approaches,the 2026 Yanjiawan Village Galawas held as scheduled.
Activities such as strawberry picking, paper-cutting, dumpling making, New Year shopping and live performancesbrought together Chinese and international guests, allowing them to experience the festive charm of rural China through a wide range of cultural activities.
Eddie from the United States, who has lived in China for 11 years, shared that people around him have always been warm and welcoming. In his view,the village gala offers a valuable opportunity for a family-style gathering, and the pork dumplings left a particularly strong impression. He also performed a Spanish dance together with his classmates at the event.
Rabeeia from Pakistan has been living in Shanghai for two years and has spent a total of four years in China. She noted that the village gala provides a meaningful platform for interaction among people from different countries and cultural backgrounds, helping her make new friends. She expressed her fondness for the various experiences at the event and mentioned that she had even published an article in China Daily to share her love for dumplings.
This year, the Yanjiawan Village Gala introduced an all-day, multi-scenario activity layout. Art troupes from Xinjiang, food delivery riders and other groups were specially invited to participate, further enriching the overall experience.
A local villager described the event as festive and lively, with a wide variety of delicious food. In recent years, Yanjiawan Village has become increasingly vibrant, attracting visitors from across the country and creating more opportunities for interaction, which has brought great joy to local residents.
Zhu Yuhao, a food delivery rider who has been working in the Huacao area for six years, also took part in the event. He said the experience was memorable, as he joined his child in strawberry picking and wonton making while fully enjoying the festive atmosphere. He added that the strawberries were sweet, and meals cooked over a traditional stove reminded him of the taste of home.
Asa rural celebration held for eight consecutive years, the Yanjiawan Village Gala has become not only an annual highlight for villagers, but also an important window showcasing the achievements of rural revitalization and the city’s cultural heritage.
新春将至,“2026严家湾村晚”如约而至。
摘草莓、剪纸、包饺子、逛年货、看演出……中外友人齐聚一堂,在丰富多彩的文化活动中,感受中国乡村浓浓的年味与新春魅力。
来自美国的埃迪已在中国生活11年。他表示,身边的人始终热情友善,在他看来,村晚是一次难得的家庭式相聚体验,而猪肉饺子的味道也令他印象深刻。当晚,他还与同学一同带来了西班牙舞蹈表演。
来自巴基斯坦的拉比亚目前在上海生活两年,在中国已有四年经历。她认为,村晚为不同国家、不同文化背景的人们提供了良好的交流平台,也让她结识了许多新朋友。她表示,自己十分喜欢这里的各类体验,甚至曾在《中国日报》发表文章,分享自己对饺子的喜爱。
今年,严家湾村晚打造了全天候、多场景的活动矩阵,并特别邀请了来自新疆的文工团、外卖骑手等群体深度参与,进一步丰富了活动内容。
参与活动的村民表示,现场气氛喜庆热闹,美食丰富多样。近年来,严家湾村愈发热闹,来自各地的游客随处可见,大家之间的交流互动也让人感到格外开心。
在华漕片区跑单已有6年的外卖骑手朱钰豪,也参与了本次活动。他表示,这次经历让他印象深刻,不仅带着孩子体验了摘草莓、包馄饨,还感受到了浓浓的年味。他认为,这里的草莓香甜可口,用灶火做出的饭菜也让人想起家里的味道。
作为连续举办八年的乡村盛会,严家湾村晚不仅承载着村民们的年度期盼,也逐渐成为展示乡村振兴成果与城市文化底蕴的重要窗口。
