6月23日,西安交通工程学院毕业典礼上,毕业生靳闫伟用扁担挑着70余枚马拉松赛事奖牌参加毕业典礼,引发关注。

During the graduation ceremony at Xi'an Traffic Engineering Institute on Tuesday, graduate Jin Yanwei drew widespread attention by carrying a traditional shoulder pole draped with more than 70 marathon medals as he walked across the stage.

靳闫伟来自陕西延安,今年24岁。据他介绍,这些奖牌是他在校两年期间参加马拉松比赛的成果。自己扛着一扁担奖牌上台后,老师和同学都非常惊讶和激动,“大家之前也没见过这么多奖牌,都以欢呼的方式祝贺我毕业。”

The 24-year-old, from Yan'an in Shaanxi province, told reporters that the medals represented the races he completed during his two years at the university. His appearance with the medal-laden pole drew applause and cheers from faculty members and fellow graduates.

靳闫伟表示,自己从2021年接触马拉松运动,目前每天的总训练量在15公里左右,每月平均跑350公里至400公里。他在两年内一共跑了7835公里。

他说,父母赚钱不容易,自己可以通过比赛赚取一点生活费,为家里减轻负担

Jin began running marathons in 2021 and now runs about 15 kilometers a day, averaging between 350 and 400 kilometers per month. Over the past two years, he has logged a total of 7,835 kilometers.

He said that while his parents worked hard to support his education, he was able to help cover part of his living expenses through prize money earned from races.

2023年,靳闫伟获得了人生中第一个马拉松比赛冠军;几个月后,他又在陕西省第42届大学生运动会中取得5000米第一的成绩。

靳闫伟表示,在未来生活中,他会坚持长跑这项运动。毕业后,他将参与西部计划志愿服务,将自己的意志品质传递给身边的人。

Looking ahead, Jin said he plans to continue long-distance running and join the "Go West" volunteer service program after graduation. He hopes to contribute to communities in western China while pursuing his passion for distance running.
