1965年7月毕业于湖北大学统计学专业。历任中南财经大学教授、西安统计学院院长，国家统计局副局长等职；并出任中国统计教育学会理事长、中国统计学会副理事长、中国数量经济学会、中国信息经济学会、中国城市经济学会常务理事会，全国统计教材编审委员会主任，全国统计科学学术委员会副主任，全国哲学社会科学规划领导小组统计学科组组长，国家信息化办公室专家委员会成员，《统计研究》编委会主任，国际统计干部培训学院院长，西安统计研究院名誉院长，十届全国人大常委，财经委员会委员，九三学社中央副主席。2008年3月，被任命为第十一届全国人民代表大会财政经济委员会副主任委员。

He Keng

He Keng graduated from Department of Statistics of Hubei University. He used to be the professor of Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics, Dean of Xi’an College

of Statistics, Deputy Director of National Bureau of Statistics of China. He also served as Chairman of Statistical Education Society of China, Vice Chairman of Statistical Society of China,Deputy Director of Academic Committee of National Statistics and Sciences, Member of Expert Committee of Office of National Informatization, Vice Chairman of Jiu San (September 3) Society,and Member of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People’s Congress. He was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Financial and Economic Board of the 11th National People's Congress.
