新华网8月3日电 据英国《太阳报》报道，前托特纳姆热刺主教练哈里·雷德克纳普表示，贝尔已经成为继梅西与C罗后的世界第三号球星。此前，雷德克纳普曾为贝尔转会皇马铺路。

GARETH BALE would be ideally suited by a move to Real Madrid, according to his former boss Harry Redknapp.

The ex-Tottenham manager, who helped put Bale on the path to greatness, believes the Welshman is now the third best player in the world behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Spanish giants Real are hoping to agree a deal for Bale that could smash the world record 80million they paid Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo.

And QPR chief Redknapp said: “He is at a good club but the opportunity to play for Real Madrid does not come along too often. He has probably dreamt about that since he was a little boy.

“It seems they have offered fantastic money so it could happen. If he goes there, he will be a great success. I am sure of that.”

Redknapp helped transform Bale from a left-back to a forward player and was still in charge at Spurs when Bale won the PFA Player of the Year award for the first time in 2011.

Now the 24-year-old is attracting serious interest from Real after an amazing season with Tottenham.

But Redknapp added: “He has been playing like that for three or four years.

"He has been consistent over about a period of about four seasons so he has proved he can do it regularly.

“He has got everything, he can do the whole lot — he can dribble, he can shoot with both feet, can head it, run all day, run at speed.

“There is nothing he can t do. He is an amazing player. He is behind Messi and Ronaldo in terms of being the best player in the world.”
