新华网8月11日电 据英国《太阳报》报道，曼联前锋罗宾·范佩西10日晚力劝鲁尼留在曼联，并称“他是我加入曼联的原因之一。”

荷兰人表示，切尔西希望收购鲁尼，他对此并不感到惊奇。范佩西也表示他愿意帮助鲁尼同俱乐部解决分歧，并使他留在老特拉福德。

Robin van Persie urges Wayne Rooney to stay at Manchester United

ROBIN VAN PERSIE last night urged Wayne Rooney to remain at Manchester United and revealed: “He was one of the reasons I joined.”

Dutch ace RVP admits he is not surprised that Rooney is wanted by Chelsea.

But he would love for the unsettled striker to sort his differences with United and remain at Old Trafford.

Van Persie, set to face Wigan in today s Community Shield at Wembley, said: “Everyone wants Wayne to stay and, deep down, I think he feels the same. One of the reasons I joined Manchester United was to play with Wayne.

“He is quality on and off the pitch.

“I hope he stays. Not only is he a great goalscorer, he does so much work across the pitch.I am not surprised other teams want him.”

“He hates to lose — that s why you see him one minute pressing for a goal, the next defending ferociously. He is an asset to any team.”

Rooney has played just one game since April due to injuries but may join England against Scotland on Wednesday.

Van Persie added: “He will come good again. He is a strong lad.”
