新华网8月27日电 据英国《太阳报》报道，《英国达人》臭嘴评委西蒙·考威尔打算给自己与纽约名媛劳伦·西尔弗曼所生的孩子取名为埃里克或埃丽卡（女孩名），为纪念自己去世的父亲。

据报道，53岁的西蒙认为这样取名有非常特殊的意义，而他37岁的情人劳伦也表示喜欢该名字。目前，劳伦怀孕已有三个月。

据一名消息人士透露，“西蒙明确表示他希望给自己的孩子取名为埃里克。劳伦也喜欢这个名字，她认为这个名字在美国不太常见，因此显得很时髦。若孩子是女孩儿，劳伦认为埃丽卡也是不错的名字。”

西蒙的父亲埃里克曾经是唱片公司制作人，1999年死于心脏病，享年81岁。

西蒙曾经表示，“我的父亲是一位非常优秀的良师益友。”

SIMON Cowell wants to name his new baby Eric or Erica — in memory of his late dad.

Pals say the X Factor mogul, 53, reckons it will be a fitting tribute.

His three months pregnant lover Lauren Silverman, 37, is also said to be keen.

A source said: “Simon s made it clear he d like Eric to be considered as a name.

"Lauren likes it as it s unusual in America, and quite stylish too.

"She also feels Erica s a cool name for a girl.”

Record label exec Eric died of a heart attack in 1999, aged 81.

Simon has admitted: “My dad was a brilliant mentor.”
