Many people rub their hair vigorously with a towel after washing, hoping to dry it faster. But according to dermatologists, this common habit may actually contribute to hair damage and hair loss.

洗头后最怕用毛巾

陆军军医大学第一附属医院皮肤科教授杨希川表示,洗头后用毛巾大力揉搓头发,可能会造成发质损伤,让发质越来越差。湿发时头发表面的摩擦力增大,会增加对头发纤维的机械损伤,此时来回梳理揉搓头发,容易损伤头发

Dr Yang Xichuan, a professor of dermatology at the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University, warns that vigorously rubbing wet hair with a towel can damage the hair shaft and affect overall hair health in the long term. When hair is wet, friction on the surface increases, making it more vulnerable to mechanical damage. Combing or rubbing it at this stage can easily lead to breakage.

武汉市第三医院中医科副主任医师曾江琴也表示,正确的做法是,用毛巾轻轻地按压头发,吸收掉头发上的水分即可

Dr Zeng Jiangqin, a deputy chief physician at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department of Wuhan Third Hospital, agrees and suggests a gentler approach. "The right way is to gently press the hair with a towel to absorb moisture," she says.

洗完头如何正确干发?

杨希川表示,通常有以下几种选择:

自然干(推荐系数:★★)

如果是短发,让头发自然风干就很方便;对于留长发的人,等头发自然干是很浪费时间的一件事。如果头发长时间处于潮湿的环境中,容易滋生微生物。

So what's the best way to dry your hair after washing? Some people prefer air-drying, though its practicality depends on hair length. Long hair takes more time to dry, and prolonged dampness may encourage microbial growth.

吹干(推荐系数:★★★)

用吹风机吹虽然也会对头发造成一定的损伤,但却是更加省时省力的操作。使用吹风机时,需要注意:

Using a blow dryer is faster and more efficient, but it can still cause damage if not used properly. Key factors include the temperature setting, drying time and the distance between the dryer and the scalp.

  • 温度尽量调低一些,尤其是干枯受损发质,最好减少使用高温电吹风;

  • 跟头皮保持距离(15厘米以上),吹时要时不时抖动一下吹风机,避免直吹使头皮产生灼烧感;

  • 不要吹太久,也不要吹得特别干,头发摸着还有一丝湿润的感觉即可。

按干(推荐系数:★★★)

按干头发是比较温柔和可取的方法。顺着头发毛鳞片,从上至下用毛巾轻柔按压出头发里的水分。

The gentlest and most recommended method? Press, don't rub. Gently squeeze sections of hair from top to bottom, along the direction of the hair strands, allowing the towel to absorb moisture without causing damage from friction.

湿着头发入睡更伤身

有的人因为洗头时间晚,懒得再用吹风机吹干,经常湿着头发入睡,这种习惯会给身体带来损伤。

⚠️诱发头晕头痛

南京市中医院脑病科主任医师王敬卿表示,湿着头发睡觉容易侵袭头面部的肌表经脉,诱发偏头痛。

⚠️加重皮肤病

首都医科大学附属北京中医医院皮肤科副主任医师朱慧婷表示,长期湿发入睡会加重皮肤病。若本身有脂溢性皮炎、湿疹、头癣等,存在头皮发炎、局部皮肤屏障破坏的情况,湿发睡觉可能导致病菌繁殖,由破损的皮肤入侵,这种情况下易诱发感染

⚠️可能导致发质受损、脱发

湿发入睡对身体的危害是长时间积累导致的。如果只是偶尔一两次,问题不会太大。但如果是本身就有严重的内湿、体质较弱的人,尤其是头发较长的女性,易发生中风、头晕、头痛等症状的老年人,就一定要注意不要顶着一头湿发入睡了。
