新华网12月13日电 据英国《每日电讯报》报道，被Facebook以10亿美元收购的图片分享社交软件Instagram 12日加入了“私信”与“群信息”功能（Instagram Direct），允许用户向指定好友发送图片与视频。

据报道，能发“私信”的Instagram支持“定向发送”和“群发”功能，可最多群发给15位好友。此前，Instagram仅支持传统的“发布”功能，其发布内容能被所有粉丝可见。

“有时你只想把发布的内容与一部分粉丝而非所有人分享，现在Instagram就能做到这点。”Instagram创始人凯文·斯特罗姆表示，“新开通的 私信 功能能让用户轻松与指定的好友分享图片与视频。”

近年来，随着即时通讯的迅猛发展，涌现出了如Snapchat与BBM等服务，也让不少互联网公司争相进入这一领域。而月活跃用户量达1.5亿的Instagram成为了该领域的领头羊。

Instagram, which was bought by Facebook for $1bn, has announced that users can now send photos or videos to individuals or up to 15 recipients.

The original service allowed users simply to publish their own films or photos to a stream that was visible to their followers. Instagram Direct allows users to send messages to people who follow them, and adds a stream of pending requests from other users.

“Sometimes you want to be able to share not with everyone but with a specific group you can t really do that with Instagram today,” said co-founder Kevin Systrom. “Instagram Direct is a simple way to send pictures and videos to your friends.”

The rise of instant messaging services such as Snapchat and BBM has made the area a particular focus for a host of new companies but Instagram, with 150m users each month, remains one of the largest.
