• 张宁的作品体现了对东方美学和佛学的反思，是宁静内敛的，厚重空灵的，像是没有旁白而仅有留白的电影，温和地与观者的内心世界接轨。

艺术家张宁，1983年出生于山东临沂。现生活和工作于上海。师从瞿广慈、向京老师，接受过系统的绘画和雕塑训练。主要以雕塑语言，来进行艺术上的实验和实践。以雕塑为载体，注入生命中的感知和体悟。内心深处，他只是为自己工作，以便更好地理解他所看到的，并用心去体悟。“至简而至丰”是他艺术的信条。凭借外在的雕塑形式，认识到内在的精神内核——本真的自己。

Zhang Ning, born in 1983 in Linyi, Shandong Province, now living and working in Shanghai. Under the tutors of Guangci Qu and Jing Xiang, he has received systematic professional training in painting and sculpture. He works mainly with the language of sculpture, to carry on the experiment and practice of art. He uses sculpture as the carrier, injecting into the perception and understanding of life. Deep down, he just works for himself to better understand what he was seeing and to feel it with his heart. "The simplest but the most abundant" is the belief of his art. By virtue of the external sculptural form, he realizes the inner spiritual core -- the true (natural) self.
