2023年2月27日,著名经济学家厉以宁先生因病在北京逝世，享年92岁。从昨晚至今日，悼念之音不绝于耳。
著名经济学家、杰出的教育家，北京大学社会科学资深教授，北京大学社会科学学部主任，北京大学光华管理学院名誉院长，第七、八、九届全国人大常委会委员，全国人大财经委员会原副主任，全国政协经济委员会原副主任……厉以宁先生有着许多头衔，但不论做什么，总是保持着一以贯之的理念：“作为读书人，总有些正心、齐家、改善人民生活的想法”。
“一生治学当如此，只计耕耘莫问收。”在经济学理论研究方面，厉以宁先生治学谨严、笔耕不辍，留下了大量的学术著作。其关于中国经济体制改革的理论创新遍及多个领域，在股份制改革、国有企业产权制度改革和证券法、非公经济36条以及非公经济新36条等经济法规的制订方面都做出了历史性的贡献。在2018年庆祝改革开放40周年大会上，厉以宁先生被党中央、国务院授予“改革先锋”称号和奖章，被誉为“经济体制改革的积极倡导者”。
鲸歌有幸与厉以宁先生结缘，于2021年出版了老先生的文集《沉沙无意却成洲——中国经济改革的文化底色》，书中集结了从先生数十部著作中精选出的50多篇文章，以期能够将先生在每个领域的代表性观点一一呈现。

书中第一章《岂是闲险风与月》，多选取先生游记散文，先生在游历中以各国的历史为鉴，通俗易懂地讲述经济学的常识性问题，并对中国的现实问题形成关照。第二章《何不乘风破例飞》，体现了先生在不同时期对探索中国道路的思考、在中国经济改革中的重要贡献，在突出他主要的经济学观点的同时，强调的是中国道路的独特性与改革的必要性和坚定性。第三章《溪泉滑滴却无穷》，主要选取先生在中国经济高速发展之后提出的新方向、新思考，他更关注文化建设、道德约束、可持续生态发展与中国道路之间的关系，更重于人文思考，如滑润溪流，连绵不绝，滋养中国未来的可持续发展。
从这些探索思辨中，我们能深切感受到厉老先生对中国现实问题的关怀，感受到其对中国改革道路的坚定信念。正如厉老先生自己说的那样：“中国的改革开放就像一条大河滚滚向前，其中难免泥沙俱下，但到一定阶段，这些泥沙会沉淀下来，变成社会主义和谐的绿洲。只要中国这块社会主义绿洲欣欣繁荣，那么世界上社会主义不但不亡，也将充满生机。对此我充满信心。”
另一方面，在经济学领域有着杰出成就的厉以宁先生对文学、尤其是诗词创作也有着孜孜不倦的追求。他从1947年开始诗歌创作，累计创作诗词已近700余首。他曾对学生说过：“一首好诗，往往可以影响人的一生。作诗填词，可以修身养性，抒怀遣兴，培养人的高尚情操和广阔胸怀。”
这也是鲸歌与先生缘分的开始。2020年，值先生九秩寿辰之际，我们出版了《厉以宁诗词选》汉英对照本，囊括了先生创作于1947至2017年的108首词作。
先生的诗词创作，主要以生活、学习、亲人和友情为主题，从他本人上大学写起，一直写到他与夫人尽享天伦之乐，漫长一生中的大悲大喜，得意失意，都被他浓缩在一首首诗词中。诗词受形式的限制，篇幅很小，尽管如此，我们仍可从寥寥数语中窥见到作者的坚韧、上进、重情、旷达、平和、乐观，以及百折而不挠。全书从头到尾，给人一种积极向上的振奋之情，从侧面展现出一个有情有义的经济学家的形象。

2023年的2月27日，厉以宁先生离开了他所热爱着的这个世界，但他的文字永存，精神长在。
