Linyi winter jujube has an early ripening period and matures in mid June. It looks like a small apple, with a round fruit shape. The shoulder of the fruit is flat and round, and the average weight of a single fruit is about 20 grams; The fruit has a shiny surface and a bright color, presenting a dotted or patchy ochre red color; The fruit has thick flesh, white color, delicate texture, thin skin, crispy flesh, and small kernel. It is thick, sweet, and juicy, with a sugar content of ≥ 17.3% and an edible rate of 96.9%; Rich in amino acids, with a content of 0.985 mg/100g ; The vitamin C content is relatively high, with a vitamin C content per 100 grams of flesh up to 380~600 mg; Simultaneously containing 19 kinds of essential amino acids for the human body, including threonine and serine, as well as various trace elements and minerals.
人文历史
《中国果树誌·枣卷》记载,枣树在临猗已有3000多年的栽培历史。周朝(春秋时期)的《尔雅》一书中,记载“洗,大枣,今河东猗氏出大枣子如鸡卵”。其中河东猗氏即今山西临猗县。唐代诗人杜甫云游古河东猗氏后写出了“庭前八月梨枣熟,一日上树能千回”的赞枣佳句。
临猗县庙上乡地垆水碱,不适宜果树生长,二十世纪八十年代末,山西农科院果树研究所副研究员、土生土长于山东庄的毕平同志将“酸枣育苗,蜡封接穗推迟嫁接法,矮化密植”三大技术,应用于家乡枣业的发展。进入二十一世纪,县委、县政府组织广大干部群众外出参观学习,引导群众大力推广嫁接冬枣,通过大面积栽植及精心管理,临猗冬枣很快显现非凡的食用效果和经济价值。全县的冬枣面积发展到18万亩,带动了周边的省、市、县的栽枣热潮。庙上乡全乡耕地面积10万亩,冬枣面积达到8万亩,成为名副其实的“中国冬枣第一乡”。
Humanistic History
According to the “Chinese Fruit Tree Annals - Jujube Scroll”, jujube trees have a cultivation history of over 3000 years in Linyi. In the book “Er Ya” of the Zhou Dynasty (Spring and Autumn Period), it is recorded that “Jujube, the Hedong Yi family produced big jujube like chicken eggs”. Among them, the Yi family in Hedong is now Linyi County, Shanxi Province. The Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu wrote a poem praising the jujube trees, saying “The pear and jujube ripen in August before the court, and one can climb the tree a thousand times a day”.
In Miaoshang Township, Linyi County, the soil is alkaline and not suitable for fruit tree growth. In the late 1980s, Comrade Bi Ping, an associate researcher at the Fruit Research Institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences and a native of Shandongzhuang, applied the three major techniques of “Sour jujube seedling cultivation, wax-sealed scion delayed grafting method, and dwarfing and dense planting" to the development of the jujube industry in his hometown. Entering the 21st century, the county party committee and government organized the majority of cadres and masses to visit and study, guiding the masses to vigorously promote the grafting of winter jujube. Through large-scale planting and careful management, Linyi winter jujube soon showed extraordinary edible effects and economic value. The area of winter jujube in the county has developed to 180,000 mu, which has driven the boom of planting jujube in the surrounding provinces, cities and counties. The cultivated land area of Miaoshang Township is 100,000 mu, and the area of winter jujube reaches 80,000 mu, making it truly the “Number one winter jujube township in China”.

临猗县气候属暖温带大陆性气候,全年平均日照时数2271.6小时,日照时间充足。
临猗冬枣的生产地域范围为东经110°17’30.7”~110°54’38.9”,北纬34°58’52.9”~35°18’47.6”。海拔360~820米;平均气温13.5℃,年平均降雨量508厘米,相对湿度61%~70%,无霜期226天,是临猗冬枣独特成长气候条件。
保护范围:临猗县猗氏镇、牛杜镇、嵋阳镇、临晋镇、七级镇、东张镇、孙吉镇、三管镇、耽子镇、楚侯乡、庙上乡、角杯乡、北辛乡、北景乡等14个乡镇。

The production area of winter jujube in Linyi ranges from 110°17’30.7”E to 110°54’38.9”E and from 34°58’52.9”N to 35°18’47.6”N. Altitude of 360-820 meters; The average temperature is 13.5 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 508 centimeters, the relative humidity is 61%~70%, and the frost free period is 226 days. This is a unique climate condition for the growth of Linyi winter jujube.
Protection scope: 14 townships including Yishi Town, Niudu Town, Meiyang Town, Linjin Town, Qiji Town, Dongzhang Town, Sunji Town, Sanguan Town, Danzi Town, Chuhou Township, Miaoshang Township, Jiaobei Township, Beixin Township, and Beijing Township in Linyi County.
产业发展
临猗县枣业面积20万亩,其中冬枣面积18万亩,其它早熟品种2万亩,涉及庙上乡、牛杜镇等9个乡镇(70多个村);鲜枣年产量近6亿斤,总产值21亿元,成为继苹果之后的第二大支柱产业;新建和提升改造鲜枣产地交易市场19个,构建起鲜枣分拣、包装、销售完整市场体系;枣农创新了“前店后仓+枣农”的农村电商模式,实现了在北京、深圳等28个大中城市全网销售。
临猗冬枣出口美国、英国、法国等12个国家,年出口1590吨,出口创汇6400万元。
Industry Development
Jujube industry in Linyi County covers an area of 200,000 mu, including 180,000 mu of winter jujube and 20,000 mu of other early maturing varieties, involving 9 townships (more than 70 villages) such as Miaoshang Township and Niudu Town; The annual output of fresh jujube is nearly 300 million kilograms, with a total output value of 2.1 billion yuan, making it the second largest pillar industry after apples; Build and upgrade 19 trading markets for fresh jujube production areas, and establish a complete market system for fresh jujube sorting, packaging, and sales; Jujube farmers have innovated the rural e-commerce model of “front store and back warehouse+ jujube farmers”, achieving full network sales in 28 large and medium-sized cities such as Beijing and Shenzhen.
Linyi winter jujube is exported to 12 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France,with an annual export of 1,590 tons and an export income of 64 million yuan.
