Associate Professor at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Focus on the socio-psychological effects of interactive media, including video games virtual reality systems, robotics, artificial intelligence and their applications in education and medical aids.

摘要
Abstract
How confident are we in booking a hotel recommended by artificial intelligence (Al)? How comfortable are we with receiving reassurance from Al after a long day? These questions highlight how our daily interactions are increasingly shaped by trust and emerging Al technologies in various forms. In this presentation, l will first explain what Al is and discuss its various applications. Then, l will explore the concept of trust in Al and its potential role in addressing challenges in rapidly changing societies, examining its social desirability dimensionfrom a socio-psychological perspective.
