尊敬的各位老师，亲爱的同学们：

Dear teachers and students:

大家早上好！我们是601班的乔泽宇和方烨铭。

Good morning! We are Qiao Zeyu and Fang Yeming from Class 601.

麻雀因为与雄鹰语言不通，所以无法了解到翱翔高空，接受风雨磨砺的豪情;小草因为与大树语言不通，从而无法得知屹立苍穹，傲视群雄的壮志;小溪因为读不懂大海的壮阔，只能在原野上汩汩细流。牛羊因为听不懂骏马的嘶鸣，只能安乐在棚圈任人宰割。语言，不但能为我们架起沟通的桥梁，更能助我们开阔视野，增长见识收获不一样的生活。

Because the grass doesn’t understand the language of the big tree, it is impossible to know that it is standing in the sky. Language can not only build a bridge of communication for us, but also increase our knowledge and gain a different life.

传说在很久很久以前，全世界的人们用的都是同样一种语言，大家沟通便捷，齐心协力，日子越过越好。为了记录人类的丰功伟绩，大家决定搭建一座通天的高塔以彰显成就，因为人们的语言相通，通天塔的搭建得十分顺利，很快就高耸入云。这件事惊动了天神，让天神恐慌起来。他害怕人类的团结统一会威胁到他的统制，于是，天神施展法术，让人们有了各自不同的语言。从此，人们因无法交流，难以沟通，彼此之间猜疑误解，争吵斗殴，通天塔也最终在人类的战火中被毁于一旦。

Once upon a time, people all over the world spoke the same language, and it was easy for everyone to communicate and work together to make life better. The decision to build a tower in order to record the great achievements of mankind the gods feared people would threaten his rule, so the gods gave people their own different languages. Since then, people have misunderstood each other, and the Tower was eventually destroyed in the war of mankind.

传说中人类的团结因语言的沟通不畅而荡然无存。而在21世纪的今天，对多元语言的融汇贯通同样能施展出他神奇魔力。相信大家都喝过可口可乐吧，你可能不知道Cocacola公司在刚进驻中国市场时，把他们的产品Cocacola翻译成了“克口克蜡”，结果销量一塌糊涂，根本没有人去购买，后来一位聪明的中国人把他改成了“可口可乐”，这一充分考虑到中华文化的翻译，让饮料的销量一路火爆，从此成为了中国人尽皆知的品牌。

Today, Coca-cola has more and more unique magic in different languages. Once upon a time, when it first entered the Chinese market, someone translated the product into the wrong name, so no one bought their product. Later, a Chinese changed it to "Coca-cola,"it makes Coca-Cola a well-known brand in China.

这就是语言的魅力，它能打破地域和种族的界限，让来自不同国家、不同背景的人们能够相互交流、理解和合作。在全球化的今天，掌握多种语言意味着拥有更广阔的视野和更多的机遇，能够更好地融入这个多元而紧密相连的世界。

This is the charm of language. It can break the boundaries of geography and race, so that people from different countries and backgrounds can communicate, understand and cooperate with each other. In today's globalized world, mastering multiple languages means having more opportunities to better integrate into this diverse and closely connected world.

在接下来的学校语言节里，也希望同学们能积极投入到语言的缤纷海洋之中，显汉语熠熠之辉，展英文灼灼之华，让两种语言交织成一首首动人的歌曲，诉说你我与世界的美丽故事。

In the upcoming language festival, we hope that students will actively participate in the language showcase, show the elegance of English, weaving language into a touching song, telling the beautiful stories of you and me with the world.

欲穷千里目，更上一层楼。

让我们怀揣中国灵魂，世界眼光。以语言架起桥梁，书写多彩华章！
