The second marked location on the map led Claire and Luke to the edge of the forest, where an overgrown path twisted and turned toward a forgotten chapel. The small stone building was hidden beneath a canopy of ancient trees, its roof partially caved in, and vines snaking along its walls.

“This place feels like it’s from another time,” Claire whispered as they approached.

Luke unfolded the map and compared it to their surroundings. “This is definitely it,” he said. “The next clue must be here.”

They pushed open the heavy wooden door, its hinges groaning with disuse. Inside, faint sunlight streamed through broken windows, illuminating the dusty pews and crumbling altar.

Claire spotted a carving on one of the pews: a symbol identical to the one marked on the map. “Look, Luke! It’s the same symbol.”

Luke knelt beside the pew, running his fingers over the carving. “It’s a clue,” he murmured. “But what does it mean?”

As they examined the chapel further, Luke’s foot struck something hard beneath the rubble. He crouched down and uncovered a small, rusted key.

“This must open the box!” Claire exclaimed.

Luke nodded, holding the key tightly. “But why was it hidden here? And what’s in the box that’s so important?”

The air in the chapel seemed to grow heavier, as though the place itself was watching them. Claire felt a chill but shook it off. “Let’s find out,” she said, leading the way outside.
