去年7月，云南临沧云县女孩张镜在割牛草回家的路上，收到了北京大学的录取通知书，这一质朴而动人的画面火遍全网。时隔一年，这位励志女孩作为北京大学招生学生代表，重返母校临沧市第一中学开展招生工作。
Last July, Zhang Jing, a high school student from Yunnan province, went viral after receiving her admission letter from Peking University (PKU) while carrying a bundle of grass home. A year later, she has returned to her hometown as a PKU ambassador to recruit new students.

在招生现场，张镜感慨地说：“去年我是前来咨询的同学，今年我是代表北大来招生的学姐，内心感到非常骄傲。”
看到学弟学妹们取得了优异的成绩，她满怀期待地说：“这证明通过努力，我们是能走出大山的。希望能够招到更多的学弟学妹，来和我做北京大学的校友。”
"Last year, I was the one asking for advice. Now, I am proud to be the senior recruiting for PKU," Zhang said, hoping to welcome more local students to her university.

这份骄傲的背后，是用知识步步走出大山的坚持。
张镜来自临沧市云县大朝山西镇邦旭村。她曾在一次学习交流活动中自述：“小时候每天跟着妈妈上山采茶，一瓶八宝粥便是最爱，大朝山就是全世界。”除了采茶，张镜还要帮家里干各种农活，尤其是农忙时节，她常常要忙到天黑才能回家。
直到小学毕业，张镜才走出大山到临沧市区读初中。眼前的高楼大厦和车水马龙让她感慨万千：“原来这就是外面的世界！”
Zhang grew up in a remote mountain village where endless tea terraces were her whole world. It wasn't until she left for middle school that she saw skyscrapers for the first time, realizing what the outside world looked like.

去年七月，在割牛草完回家的路上，张镜收到了北京大学的录取通知书，她凭借日复一日的努力，以670分的成绩被北大中国语言文学学院（系）录取，终于实现了自己“走出大山，看到广阔世界”的梦想。
Through hard work, she scored 670 in the national college entrance exam, earning her spot at PKU's Department of Chinese Language and Literature and making her dream of seeing the wider world come true.

张镜还真诚地勉励高考生：“高考不是终点，而是一个新的起点。我们以后都会在不同的地方、不同的岗位闪闪发光。”
Reflecting on her journey, Zhang encourages students: "The college entrance exam is not the finish line, but a new starting point. No matter where we end up, we can all shine in our own ways."

从背着牛草追梦的考生，到代表顶尖学府归来的学姐，张镜一步一个脚印地奔赴着自己的理想之路。
