维多利亚在接受《华尔街日报》杂志（The Wall Street Journal）采访时，首次公开回应与长子Brooklyn Beckham的家庭矛盾！这是自今年1月Brooklyn发布6页爆炸性声明、宣布“不愿与家人和解”以来，Victoria最直接的表态。

她在采访中被直接问及与儿子的裂痕（rift），虽然没有点名Brooklyn，但明确谈到了作为父母的努力：
“我想说，我们一直——我们非常爱我们的孩子。我们一直努力做最好的父母。我们已经在公众视野中30多年了，我们所做的一切都只是想保护我们的孩子、爱我们的孩子。这就是我想说的全部。”
（原文：“I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”）
Victoria强调，多年来一直把保护孩子放在首位，并表示不会为把家庭置于聚光灯下感到内疚，只提到父母当年突然面对狗仔队时的适应过程。
