坚持：替换insist

cling to
to remain devoted to or entrenched in something, often a belief or opinion.

In this ever-changing world, you can't just stubbornly cling to your old beliefs.

在这个不停变化的世界，你不能顽固地坚守你以前的一些想法。

adhere to
to believe in a particular idea or concept.

Sunny adheres to the belief that working long hours in the gym is the only way to lose weight.

Sunny坚信在健身房锻炼是减肥的唯一办法。（我坚信个鬼咧！！）

stick to
persist in or continue applying oneself to

I'm sticking to my opinion that Jack is fat.

我一直坚持我的这个看法：强子现在胖了。（真的！）

努力：替换struggle

endeavor
to work to do or accomplish something.

After spending years endeavoring to earn my degree, today is my graduation!

经过多年的努力！今天我终于毕业了！

Sunny endeavored to lose weight.

Sunny真的非常努力在减肥。

strive after/for
to try very hard to obtain something.

I am always striving after perfection. 我总是追求完美。

I am striving for the best possible result. 我一直在追求可能的最好的结果。

do one’s utmost to
the greatest possible degree, extent, or amount

He tried his utmost.

他尽力了

非常：替换very

exceedingly
to an advanced or unusual degree; extremely.

Thank you. You’ve been exceedingly kind.

remarkably
in an amount or to a degree that is unusual or surprising

Jack plays the violin remarkably well.

强子小提前居然拉的很好？！（他不会，我乱说的。）

enormously
very or very much

除了可以用 change 还能怎么表示呢

convert / alter

把阁楼改造一下，他们就可以多出两间卧室

村子里几乎没有什么变化。

提高，替代 improve

advance / facilitate

我们一般都会用 why not:

-I can’t leave.

-Why not？

why not 作为回答

能表示同意某个建议

-Let’s eat out this evening.

-Yes. Why not ?

晚上一起出去吃饭吧。

好啊，干啥不去啊。

可以表示惊奇或者生气拒绝

I wonder why she should

want to go out with him.

我真好奇为啥她要跟他出去！

-Give me a cigarette.

-Why should I ?

给我一只烟
