I am all ears

乍一看，这个短语好像是“我全身长满耳朵”？听起来好吓人啊！但是真的是这个意思吗？别慌，这个短语不是“长满耳朵”，而是“我在洗耳恭听”！形容对话题很感兴趣，正集中精神、全神贯注等待对方说下去。

具体怎么用呢？来看下面的情景对话：

情景：Sammy想要给Joseph老师推荐游戏

Sammy：Joseph老师我告诉你哦，我找到了一个很好玩的游戏

Sammy：要不要一起玩嘛？

该短语可不是“扔掉毛巾”，而是表达“放弃”之意哦！Throw in the towel来自拳击运动，早期说法是“ Throw up the sponge-海绵”，以前拳击手的经理可以将海绵丢进擂台中，表示拳击手放弃。蘸水的海绵是给拳击手擦脸的，以保持清醒，后来才以毛巾代替海绵。
