⊙“Knock Yourself Out”是什么意思？⊙

在日常英语会话里，常常会听到的“Knock yourself out”。

它的意思其实是「那你就做吧。」，跟“Go ahead.”的意思有点像，不过有时候“Knock yourself out”会带点不爽的意思。

比如你在做家务时，你的室友看到地上还有一点点灰尘，说你打扫得不够干净，这时候你可能会想不爽地问他「你觉得你打扫得比我干净吗？那你就做吧！」，这种情况下就可以用”Knock yourself out”。

例如：

You think you can do this better? Knock yourself out!

你觉得你会做得比我好吗？那你来做吧!

I booked a hotel for our trip. If you don’t like it and want to book it yourself, well, knock yourself out.

我已经订了这次旅行的饭店，如果你不喜欢这家想自己订的话，那你就订吧。

“Knock yourself out”有时也不一定表示不爽，它也可以表示「随便」、「请便」。

A: It’s a bit cold in here. Can I close the door?

A: 这里有点冷，我可以把门关上吗?

B: Knock yourself out.

B: 请便。[表示你可以关门]

A: Can I get a bottle of beer from your fridge?

A: 我可以去你的冰箱拿一瓶啤酒吗？
