小的时候，你有害怕过打雷闪电吗？

作为暴风雨天气狂（奇）热（葩）爱好者，以前每到这种打雷下雨放闪电的天气，我就最喜欢靠在窗户边，听着雷电轰隆隆从天际砸下的的声音，然后去闻大雨冲刷后，空气中混杂的青草尘土气息。

虽然我很喜欢，但是必须得承认，对于大多数小孩子来说，他们一点儿也不愿意遇上这种天气，有的甚至会被吓到哭唧唧地扑进爸妈怀里。

今天我们就一起跟着 January 老师和 Summer 老师，来学习一下关于“打雷、闪电、下冰雹”等极端天气的英语表达吧 ⬇️

雷；打雷

thunder

  • There's thunder.

    打雷了。

  • I hear the thunder.

    我听见打雷了。

  • It thundered last night.

    昨晚打雷了。

闪电

lightning

  • There was a violent storm with thunder and lightning.

    有一场雷鸣电闪的暴风雨。

  • Lightning flashed and thunder crashed.

    电闪雷鸣。

雷暴

thunderstorm

  • A thunderstorm is a storm with thunder and lightning and usually very heavy rain.

    雷暴就是一场有雷，有闪电，还通常伴有暴雨的风暴。

  • One thing to be sure is that we'd better stay home when there's thunderstorm.

    这件事是可以确认的，如果有雷暴，大家最好呆在家里。

  • A thunderstorm seems to be heading this way.

    看样子马上有一场雷暴要来了。

下冰雹

hail

  • When it hails, small balls of ice fall like rain from the sky.

    当下冰雹的时候，小的冰球会从天上像雨一样落下来。

炙热的

boiling

  • You must be boiling in that sweater!

    你穿着那件毛衣一定很热！

  • It's a boiling hot day.

    这是酷热的一天。
