常坐办公室的人，身上总会面临着各种各样的疼痛：脖子痛、腰痛、手腕痛、眼睛酸痛等等，甚至还会有职场交际不顺带来的头痛......

这些“疼痛”带来的痛感不一样，程度也有轻重，你知道在英语中应该怎么区分吗？下面我们就跟着Summer 老师和外教Colin老师来学习这些和“疼痛”有关的英文表达吧⬇️

pain

She was clearly in a lot of pain.
她显然疼痛万分。
He felt a sharp pain in his knee.
他感到膝盖一阵剧痛。

令人疼痛的

painful

Is your back still painful?
你的背还疼吗？
My ankle is still too painful to walk on.
我的脚腕还是疼得不能走路。

受伤

hurt

He hurt his back playing squash.
他打壁球时背部受伤了。
My shoes hurt—they're too tight.
我的鞋子太紧了，穿着夹脚。

Ouch! That hurt!

You get more aches and pains as you get older.

My sister's always pinching me and it really hurts.
我姐姐老拧我，真的挺疼的。

I have a pinch in my back.
我的背有点疼。

轻微的疼痛

mild/ minor pain

The mild pain can develop into long-term back pain.
这种轻微疼痛会逐渐发展为长期背痛。

The treatment can cause minor pain inside the head.
这种治疗会引起轻微的头部疼痛。

中等疼痛

moderate pain

Moderate pain appears as you start exercising, but stays at a tolerable intensity throughout your run.
在开始运动时会有中等疼痛，但是在跑步过程中会维持在可以忍受的程度。

The only side effect is sometimes moderate head pain.
该疗法唯一的副作用是有时伴有中等头痛。

严重的疼痛，剧痛

severe pain

But for a diver, the bubbles cause severe pain and sometimes even death.
但对潜水员而言，这些气泡会带来剧烈的疼痛，有时甚至会造成死亡。
In serious cases, people lose their appetite, lose weight and have severe stomach pain.
严重情况会失去食欲，体重减轻以及严重的胃疼。

Obliterating pain prohibits anything else except being in pain and you can do nothing to alleviate it.
剧烈的疼痛让你什么都做不了，除了感受这个疼痛。而且你还没有办法减轻痛苦。

MRIs are painless, and do not require the patient to be cut open.
MRI是无痛的，病人也无需开刀。
Acupuncture treatment is gentle, painless, and relaxing.
针灸治疗很温和，无痛，也很放松。
