看过各种比赛的朋友们应该知道，同一个比赛在不同的阶段一般会有不同的赛制。

其中比较常见的就是：预选赛→循环赛→决赛。在这种赛制下， 运动员们总是 需要通过 多轮比拼，才能 决出最终 胜利的一方 。

下面我们就一起跟着外教 Colin老师 和 Summer 老师来聊聊和“比赛”这个话题，并学习有关的表达吧⬇️

淘汰，消除

Elimination - the process of removing something.

  • This drug will help with the elimination of your pain.

    这种药将有助于消除你的疼痛。

  • Their elimination from the competition was a surprise.

Double-elimination tournament.

A type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost two games or matches.

Round - a part of a competition

  • She was knocked out of the championship in the third round.

  • He showed up late for the meeting.

Round-robin

A competition in which all the players play against each other at least once.

  • The tennis match this year will be a round-robin.

Qualifier
